Sichnik Laszlo Dr is conveniently located at 1135 Morris Park Ave, Bronx, NY 10461, USA. This address places our practice in the heart of the Morris Park neighborhood, making it easily accessible for residents throughout the Bronx and surrounding areas of New York City. Morris Park Avenue is a well-known thoroughfare, ensuring straightforward navigation whether you are driving from nearby residential areas or other parts of the borough. For New Yorkers who rely on public transportation, the Morris Park area is generally served by local bus routes, and proximity to subway stations (such as those on the 5 and 2 lines, though checking specific connections is always advised) can offer additional access. While street parking can sometimes be a consideration in any New York City neighborhood, the location on a main avenue often provides more options than quieter side streets. Our aim is to ensure that reaching our clinic for your pet's veterinary needs is as convenient as possible, helping to reduce any stress associated with travel for both you and your animal companion.

- Vaccinations: Administration of essential vaccinations, such as rabies shots, to protect your pet from common diseases.
- Preventative Care: While not explicitly detailed, standard veterinary practices typically offer advice and products for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
- Diagnosis of Illnesses: Assessment and initial diagnosis of various pet ailments and health concerns.
- Paperwork Completion: Processing of necessary veterinary documents for various programs or requirements, although it's important to note potential fees or changes in staff that may affect this service.
- Limited Scope of Practice (Implied): As a general veterinary practice, the services are likely focused on common pet health issues rather than highly specialized or emergency critical care, which might be referred to larger animal hospitals.
Sichnik Laszlo Dr, as a local veterinary practice in the Bronx, offers some general features that may appeal to pet owners in New York, while also presenting certain challenges that should be considered based on public feedback.
- Local Accessibility: The primary highlight is its physical presence in the Morris Park area of the Bronx. For residents of this neighborhood and surrounding communities, the clinic offers a convenient, nearby option for basic veterinary needs, eliminating the need for extensive travel across the city for routine care like health checks and vaccinations.
- Focus on Dogs and Cats: The clinic appears to cater to common household pets, particularly dogs and cats, which aligns with the needs of most pet owners in urban environments like New York City.
- Opportunity for Basic Veterinary Care: For straightforward procedures such as health check-ups and standard vaccinations (e.g., rabies shots), the clinic provides a localized service.
However, it is crucial to also consider challenges highlighted in customer reviews, which impact the overall experience:
- Concerns Regarding Staff Continuity and Communication: One review indicates issues with staff turnover (a DVM no longer working there) and unexpected costs for paperwork completion, suggesting potential communication gaps regarding changes in service provision and associated fees.
- Customer Service and Professionalism: Feedback describes the doctor as "rude and stubborn," with instances of unprofessional mistakes like incorrect owner and pet names on documents. This indicates potential inconsistencies in client-facing interactions and administrative accuracy.
- Transparency in Fees: The unexpected $350 fee mentioned for paperwork completion, following a previous visit, highlights a lack of transparent pricing or communication about potential future costs, which can be a significant concern for pet owners.
- Perception of Intent: A review suggests the doctor was "seemingly intent on creating unnecessary trouble," which, if true, significantly impacts trust and willingness to return.

Its main suitability for locals lies in its convenient geographical position, offering an accessible point for routine services such as health checks and vaccinations without requiring extensive travel across the sprawling city. Sichnik Laszlo Dr Reviews
I brought my dog there for a health check and rabies shot. They seemed fine, was seen by K. Raje DVM. I called one week later to have paperwork completed as the dog is in a therapy dog program at Jacobi Hospital, but they told me that the DVM no longer works there and it would cost $350 for the dog to be seen by another Vet and the paperwork completed. Never going back!
Feb 26, 2024 · Cidney SchultzWORST vet and doctor ever, and here’s why:The doctor was rude and stubborn, seemingly intent on creating unnecessary trouble for us. The funniest part is that the doctor acted like he was super busy, but after checking with his assistant, he was SURPRISED to find that there wasn’t a single client after me.They wrote both owner’s name and pet’s name wrong on all the documents, which is such a basic and unprofessional mistake.Honestly, the vet at this place is a total troublemaker. If you don’t want to deal with unnecessary drama, just AVOID this vet.
Oct 10, 2024 · SJI don't have the nicest cat in the world. I love her, she loves me, but other people...? Ehhh... despite that, I always feel confident that when she needs medical help, or even a simple checkup, I can bring her here for quality care. Everyone from the doctors to the people at the desk genuinely love the animals they work with. Their prices are fair and clear, they're attentive and easy to get in touch with.
Aug 04, 2020 · James DeLayoI give 2 stars only because the techs were very nice or else this would be a one star review. My normal vet office was closed. My dog had a hurt front paw. The doctor took 3 ex-rays one of her paw, 2 of her neck. She wasn't limping. It could be this, it could be that, No definitive answer. Take antibiotics and pay over $500. The next day I brought her to our usual vet just to find she had a broken toe nail. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Sep 07, 2019 · Eileen De SouterI have mixed feelings about this location. The prices are outrageous and some of the doctors there are way to rough with their patients. My dog has gotten her nails trimmed there before and she was crying and shaking for over 2 hours because of how badly they cut her nails. The lady pulled and tugged on my dogs paw and effortlessly (in a bad way) clipped her nails. She shed blood at least 6 times after the lady was done and every time she went past the nail the lady just forced her paw into some powder which didn't even stop the bleeding because it was just so much. We were charged almost 3 thousand within that sitting after waiting 3 hours to be attended. I've heard many many horrible stories on what owners had to experience with their pets and I honestly wouldn't think twice about taking my dog there.
