Would give zero stars if I could. They neglected my mom's corgi and didn't give him his meds and made him miserable. Also he had diarrhea from all the stress and anxiety and got the poop on himself and they said they clean him up....never did and mom picked him up covered in poop.... He is traumatized at home now and always wants to be by my mom's side and if she leaves or shuts door without him in room he howls and cries now.....so thanks Sylvania vet a lot. Also had bad experience with my puppy 3 years ago hence why I never went back..."Really disappointed in this place :( My boyfriend and I went on vacation this past week and had our puppy Ava stay there 5 nights and when I dropped her off I explained that she needed special food which I brought because her kibble she was currently on was most likely giving food allergy so she needed this add on pumpkin every feeding to prevent very loose stool and when we got back from vacation would be transitioning to new food and I believe after 2 nights they stopped feeding Ava her pumpkin mix and she started having very loose stool again...they completely ignored my request and my poor baby was probably miserable and it seriously upsets me. I even brought an extra can of the pumpkin and they didn't even use it which tells me they didn't even feed her right amount I told them too in first place cuz as of this morning after feeding her how I told them too Ava has had normal poops or on way to have soild poop again! Seriously not happy and will never be boarding here again :("Do better. Seriously. My family will never come back after this neglect to an already once severely abused dog and traumatized him even more and set him back now. My mom has worked so hard with him and this is huge setback due to your neglect of my family dog. - KatyN 1882

Features / Highlights
  • Compassionate End-of-Life Care: A significant highlight is the profound compassion shown by the staff during difficult times, specifically noted during a pet's euthanasia. The team's willingness to allow ample time for grieving, their quiet respect, and even apologies for incidental noise from cleaning crews, demonstrate exceptional empathy in these sensitive situations.
  • Gentle and Caring Approach: For some clients, the staff exhibited a "gentle caring easy going nature," which made a substantial positive difference, particularly for pet owners who have experienced previous "traumatizing" vet visits. The ability to create a calm atmosphere during highly stressful moments (like an emergency visit for a pet with leukemia) is a strong positive.

Areas for Consideration (based on provided reviews):

  • Concerns with Boarding Services and Medication Adherence: Several reviews express significant disappointment regarding the boarding services. Specific incidents include:
    • Failure to administer prescribed medications to a dog, leading to discomfort and stress.
    • Failure to adhere to specific dietary instructions (e.g., mixing pumpkin with food for loose stools), resulting in worsened digestive issues for a boarded puppy.
    • Lack of proper cleaning/hygiene for a pet during boarding, leading to the pet being picked up covered in its own waste.
  • Impact on Pet Well-being and Trauma: The reported neglect during boarding allegedly led to increased stress, anxiety, and trauma for pets, with one dog exhibiting new behavioral issues like howling and crying when separated from its owner.
  • Client Trust and Return Visits: Negative experiences have led some clients to state they "will never be boarding here again" and their "family will never come back," indicating a significant breakdown in trust due to perceived neglect and disregard for specific instructions.
