Fisher Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Read some of the reviews and I total disagree with the negative comments. I saw Dr Fisher for the first time in 1989 and when I moved to the OBX I continued to make the 3.5 hour drive for him to see my dog Maddie. I have never experienced anything but wonderful service from him and his staff. I still refer people to him and always will. He is not all about the $$, he’s about your pet and common sense, but like any Dr. he deserves to be paid for his services. Dr. Joel Fisher is and always will be the BEST Vet in Wake Co., or Dare Co. for that matter!!!
May 31, 2025 · Shay DeLucaNot sure it matters what kind of review is left for this animal hospital, because I do not think the owner/staff really care. But here it goes anyway.Horrible customer service! Tried calling to get records sent over. 1st was told by Dan that the internet was down on Monday and that he would send records over as soon as the issue was corrected. Never recv'd them. Called back on Friday, twice and was put on hold for 5 + minutes by Dan who did not ask if I could hold or not. Hung up called back s/w a woman who's attitude was she didn't know anything about it, and switched me to someone else who told me she would send the records over when she got the chance. Two + hours later I call back to go through the same BS. Finally get the same woman on the phone who tells me she is too busy and will send the records between 1-3 PM. Called again at 4:20PM to find out the office is closed until Monday, and I still do not have the records I requested.Think Dr. Fisher should expect more from his staff unless the whole hospital operates like this. There is no website, no answering service to leave a message, no fax. What kind of hospital is this?? I've worked in the veterinary field for 25+ years and have NEVER dealt with such unprofessionalism. Now I have to reschedule my P's vet appointment because his records were not sent. And will have to call AGAIN on Monday. Extremely Frustrated
Apr 04, 2025 · Sherri LovissiOur favorite vet in the area! Dr. Fisher, Dan, Kelly, and Kenny, are awesome. Love knowing our kitty is always safe with them.
Jun 24, 2025 · Robyn RileyDr. Fisher saved our 11 year old Maltese! I know many say similar things, and I know they are justified, but our Daisy was extremely sick. She had pyometra and another vet encouraged us to put her down.Dr. Fisher calmly and without false promises, treated her back to stable condition, then operated on her, following all this with exceptional post surgery care. Daisy is now back to full health. No rushed procedures that would have resulted in certain death, no exaggerated prices to take advantage of a delicate situation. Just exceptional and genuine care! We prayed for Daisy and will never minimize the miraculous in this recovery. At the same time, we recognize that Dr. Fisher did everything humanly possible. What more could you ask in such a difficult crisis? Thank you, Dr. Fisher!!!
May 14, 2024 · Andrei BulzanWhat a nice surprise! The vet I used shut down without notice. Perry was down to one Prozac pill. While feeding the homeless, another volunteer mentioned Dr. Fisher. He was so kind that I teared up.Although I swore I'd never be one of THOSE women, I'm now one of them and think of my wee ones as my kids. It's a 26 minute drive to Dr. Fisher yet I'll be taking my tiny two to him as well. He's kind and cares about my kids.
