Jun 23, 2025 · AMIEE HVery happy with the service we received for our older hound. Took the wellness plan, and got her shots, x-rays, broken tooth checked out, bloodwork, and nails clipped. Everyone was very friendly, very professional. All the options and prices were well explained, and we were not pressured to make any quick decisions. Happy that we signed on for the annual plan.
May 09, 2025 · Hennie van den Berg9:00 am on July 1, 2025. Called crafton location to see if I can bring my golden retriever in to be euthanized. The person who answer the said there was no openings that day maybe on the 2nd of July hold on and let me checked. I SAID NO MY DOG IS VERY SICK NOW I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE HIM SUFFER. I took him to an emergency vet to have my poor boy put down. After 13 years of coming to BANFIELD I AM CHANGING TO A DIFFERENT VETERINARY.
Jul 02, 2025 · Jodi LoveI’m leaving this review after my sixth ignored call, plus one call where I finally got through, only to be hung up on after explaining my issue. They consistently have trouble answering the phone, often placing people on hold for 20 minutes before ending the call and then not picking up again. After more than three years as a member, I’ll likely be canceling. While the staff seems nice, the poor communication and lack of reliability make it not worth it. I’d recommend a smaller, more personalized vet instead. 2/8
Feb 08, 2025 · LexiI brought my cats here off and on over the years but I went for the last time this week. This is probably just fine for routine stuff, minor first aid or illness. Anything more than that you’re referred to Blue Pearl which is $220 just to walk in the door for a consult. Here is why I’m giving one star.Last year I brought my cat in because I felt some kind of lump on his abdomen. I was told it was just a muscle or fatty deposit as he was a heavier cat. Then recently he was not eating well and slowing down. When I brought him in they said they felt a large mass. They x-rayed it and told me his prognosis was poor and I should consider euthanasia within the week or go to Blue Pearl for more expensive testing but that likely his outcome would be poor.I spent $600 on x-rays that told me nothing except to confirm what they could feel. That money would have been better spent on an ultra sound right away. I walked out the door with a $900 bill and a cat who I was told will die.I ended up finding a private practice veterinarian who charged a fraction of the price Blue Pearl would have who could help us and gave us guidance, answers and proposed possible life saving treatment on the first visit.Banfield is cooperate pet care. It isn’t the fault of the people who work here but the nature of cooperate business. I would not go here if you suspect any serious ailment with your pet. You’ll be priced out paying for their limited diagnostic testing capabilities with no path forward for treatment unless you get a second mortgage on your house and go to Blue Pearl.I also do not like how you have to drop your pet off and never see the doctor face to face. You meet with a vet tech, they take notes, take your pet and the doctor calls you. This leaves a lot to be lost in translation as far as the pet and billing as was the case for me.My cat ended up passing away in surgery but I am glad I found a doctor who could actually help us try to save him. I will never know if the initial visit to Banfield months earlier where I told them about the lump could have saved his life if they had investigated further rather than brush it off. He was only 7 years old.My advice to pet owners is find a private practice where you can get more personalized attention and care. I do not wish to receive any response from Banfield.
