The Alice Fund Introduce
Welcome to The Alice Fund, a unique and vital organization serving the cat community in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We are not a traditional veterinary hospital, but a cattery and a compassionate foundation dedicated to providing critical medical care and supplies to young and old cats in need. Our mission is to assist cat owners and caregivers who would otherwise lack the resources to access veterinary care, making a real difference in the lives of countless felines. The Alice Fund makes assistance possible for a wide range of needs, from major surgery and vaccinations to providing essential food, litter, and spay/neuter services. We believe that every cat deserves a chance at a healthy life, regardless of their owner's financial situation. Through the generosity of cat lovers in our community and beyond, we are able to provide a safety net for those who are struggling, ensuring that cats receive the care they desperately need. Our work is a testament to the power of compassion and community support in addressing animal welfare issues.
The Alice Fund is located at 310 Cherokee Blvd., Chattanooga, TN 37405, USA. While our physical location serves as our operational hub, it is important to understand that our primary function is to provide assistance and resources rather than being a walk-in clinic for services. Our accessibility is more about our mission and reach within the community. For those who do need to visit our location, we are proud to offer a wheelchair accessible parking lot, demonstrating our commitment to serving all members of the community. As a foundation, we operate primarily by appointment and through a referral process, as our purpose is to allocate funds and support to those who qualify based on need. We encourage anyone seeking assistance to reach out to us by phone or through our website to begin the application process. Our team works diligently to respond to all inquiries and to guide individuals through the necessary steps to receive support. Our central location in Chattanooga helps us serve not just this city but also the surrounding communities, extending our reach to a wider population of cats and their owners who are in financial need.
As a cattery and a foundation, The Alice Fund provides a unique blend of services focused on cat welfare and support. Our primary "services" are not performed in-house but are made possible through financial assistance, enabling cats to receive care from local veterinarians.
Medical Care Assistance: We provide financial assistance for a wide range of medical needs, including major surgery, hospice care, and injection treatments. This helps cat owners afford critical treatments they might otherwise have to forgo.
Preventative Care Support: Our support extends to preventative services such as vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures, which are crucial for controlling the cat population and preventing future health issues.
Supplies Assistance: We also provide essential supplies such as food and litter to cat owners who are struggling financially, ensuring the basic needs of their pets are met.
Educational Resources: Through our operations, we serve as a valuable resource for cat owners, helping them navigate the complexities of urgent pet care and connecting them with the services they need.
What makes The Alice Fund a unique and important part of the Chattanooga community is our mission and our direct impact on the lives of cats and their owners.
Focused on Compassionate Assistance: We are a lifeline for cat owners who are facing difficult financial decisions. We make urgent care and major surgeries accessible, providing hope and a path forward for pets that might otherwise have no options. The positive review from a former Tennessee resident highlights how we "afford urgent care to some in-need young and old cats, that they would not have otherwise."
Community-Driven Support: Our work is powered by the generosity of individuals and organizations who are passionate about helping cats in need. The fundraising events and donations we receive directly translate into tangible assistance for local cat families.
A Unique Cattery Model: Unlike a traditional veterinary clinic, our cattery model is centered around providing a safe haven and a support system for felines, ensuring they receive the care and supplies they need through our foundation's efforts.
Commitment to Transparency: We are transparent in our operations and our mission. While we receive a large volume of requests and must adhere to specific qualifications, our goal is always to help as many cats as possible. We work within our means to provide the best possible support.

When considering The Alice Fund, it is important to understand our role as a lifeline for cats in need. The overwhelming sentiment from a positive review highlights our significant impact, noting that we make urgent care possible for cats that would otherwise go without. This is our core purpose, and it is a worthwhile and vital mission. While a negative review reflects a painful and difficult experience for one individual, it is important to note that, as a charitable organization, The Alice Fund must operate within specific financial guidelines and a strict application process to ensure the sustainability of our mission to help the most vulnerable. We receive a high volume of requests, and unfortunately, we cannot approve every single one, which can lead to heartbreaking outcomes. However, our commitment to providing help for major surgeries, food, vaccinations, and other critical needs remains unwavering. The Alice Fund is worth choosing because we are a dedicated, cat-focused charity that fills a crucial gap in the local animal welfare community. We are a resource for those who have exhausted all other options, offering a chance for a healthy life to cats that are most at risk. The Alice Fund affords urgent care to some in-need young and old cats, that they would not have otherwise. It makes assistance possible through: major surgery, food, litter, vaccinations, spay/neuter to name a few. It's a very worthwhile cause that I continue to support even though we don't live in TN anymore.
