UrgentVet Introduce
Hello, Pennsylvania pet parents! We all know that sudden feeling of worry when our beloved companion isn't quite themselves, especially when it happens outside of regular vet hours. While critical, life-threatening emergencies always warrant a trip to a 24/7 animal hospital, many situations require prompt veterinary attention that can't wait for a routine appointment but aren't severe enough for an emergency room visit. This is where a dedicated urgent veterinary care center truly shines. For those in Yardley, PA, and surrounding communities, UrgentVet offers a crucial service, bridging the gap between your primary veterinarian and an emergency animal hospital. This article will explore what makes UrgentVet a vital resource for local pet owners, providing timely, compassionate, and affordable care when you need it most.
UrgentVet is designed with the understanding that pet health concerns don't always adhere to a 9-to-5 schedule. Their mission is to provide high-quality, immediate care for non-life-threatening conditions that arise after your regular vet's office has closed, or when they simply don't have an immediate opening. Think of UrgentVet as an urgent care clinic for your pet, similar to a human urgent care center. They are equipped to handle a wide range of illnesses and minor injuries that require prompt attention to prevent them from worsening, alleviate discomfort, and provide peace of mind. The team at UrgentVet understands the stress and anxiety that comes with a pet's unexpected illness or injury. They are committed to creating a calming and supportive environment, focusing on efficient diagnosis and effective treatment while keeping both pets and their owners comfortable and informed. UrgentVet Reviews
We showed up late on Friday night and received first class service. The team was very kind, attentive and took really good care of Ozzy who was in obvious pain. He left feeling better (a little stoned) and we were relieved to get answers with the confirmation that he was going to be okay. Spotlessly clean clinic, and an overall great experience during a very stressful situation. Also Jordan one of the team members who was with us throughout our visit followed up today which we really appreciated.
Jun 07, 2025 · Orly ReitkopOur Alfredo can be a handful (see pic for reference😂) but Dr. Smith and Steve still treated him with care and compassion. They were truly amazing. Alfredo has a sensitive stomach (with episodes seemingly always after normal vet hours), so we often end up at the emergency vet hospital usually spending upwards of thousands of dollars and 5+ hours. UrgentVet cut the time in half and was a more reasonable price. We walked out of UrgentVet with a diagnosis of pancreatitis and everything we needed to help keep Alfredo comfortable at home for the upcoming days. I was really nervous hearing that diagnosis as Alfredo is barely over 1 year old, but Dr. Smith helped me feel more secure and answered all of my questions. It’s awesome that we now have a place like UrgentVet in the community.
Jun 15, 2025 · Alyssa JefremowWhen our dog had an allergic reaction after our vet normal hours we certainly didn't want to incur the cost or the stress of an emergency visit so it was great to see we had this in between option of an urgent care for pets. I didn't even know these existed. Urgent vet was clean courteous kind and took great care of our dog. The tech Jordan and the vet Sean were careful considerate and made sure they address all our questions and concerns but more importantly treated our pup quickly and effectively. She got the medicine she needed and we got home with our questions answered and more importantly peace of mind and a healthy pet Thank you!!
Jun 18, 2025 · Habeeba LImmensely grateful for the extraordinary kind and empathetic care our Asher received at UrgentVet. From the ease of scheduling the appointment online to the moment we left, we felt cared for and heard. Asher was seen promptly and Dr. Smith and her team went above and beyond to make sure Asher was attended to quickly. They took a thorough history and ran necessary tests to figure out what was wrong. Dr. Smith had the knowledge and skill to suggest an additional panel of bloodwork to pinpoint Asher's diagnosis. We were informed throughout the entire process and the team sent us home with a very detailed plan of care. We even received a call from Jordan today to make sure Asher was ok and we understood his medication instructions. See pics below...they held our baby while he was administered his IV. Highly recommend and we are grateful for UrgentVet's care.
