Jun 30, 2025 · Carlos Guerrero Anderson*saved my dog’s life last night*Night staff is incredible. Doctor Calvin was incredibly patient with me, helped thoroughly explain everything my dog needed to determine a diagnosis in order to get him proper treatment. After we thought our only option was euthanasia, Calvin was determined to try one more time to stabilize my dog and was flexible with me about pricing/ cost of treatment. They truly explored all options and went above and beyond to ensure I could bring my dog home with me. It helps to note you can hover by the staff and watch procedures on your animal and the hospital is kept incredibly clean. All of the nurses on staff were amazing, attentive, gentle, super informative and empathetic. Joshua was so amazing with my dog and super accommodating to me while I stayed overnight with him. He brought me a pillow and blanket so I could lay with my puppy and checked in consistently to determine my dog’s status and needs.Top tier staff, if you have an emergency with your pet I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else in the Tampa area. Truly an all-star team and I’m so grateful that their treatment helped my baby
May 30, 2025 · Sinclair FeldmanI had an emergency situation with my cat, I decided to try VEG ER South Tampa for the first time. I was wonderfully surprised at how kind and compassionate they were; both to my cat and me. A plan was discussed and quickly put into action. I received regular updates as the labs and imaging were finishing. Dr. Thomas and her team were great; did a thorough exam and provided a detailed diagnosis and post visit care plan. I would definitely recommend this VEG ER location, and should any of my other cats require emergency care they will go here.
Jul 07, 2025 · Leigh GledhillThis was the best medical experience of my life (human or animal) they quickly saved my baby’s life and provided some of the best care possible for both me and my cat. Somehow they made a terrifying situation comfortable and even fun at times as the entire staff was amazing at keeping morale up. Shout out to Mike specifically for managing to do the procedure well and keep me calm simultaneously. Genuinely love y’all, thank you with my entire heart
Jan 31, 2025 · Sophia VoskuilWhen my cat decided to stick his nose into a bouquet of lilies when I had just arrived into town, I very much was near a panic, but even from the first call, I felt like the VEG team was calming and knowledgeable and I felt very confident with bringing my cat in. I arrived around 2:30 am and was brought in very quickly and seen pretty immediately. I had tried cleaning him at home (little bugger was stained yellow already) and the team helped me to clean him up some more and they got to work. I felt reassured even while I was frantic, and I felt very confident that they quickly had the situation well in hand. They explained the process to come (several days with fluids) and they were able to adjust it to his chronic heart condition without any problem. They let me stay for as long as I could and I was grateful to be able to be with my cat during the stressful process, and they explained the steps as they did them, and let me sit in the room. They coordinated with my poison control case. When I left, I felt so confident in the team, and even over the next few days as I visited throughout the 48 hours and met a bunch of the other vets on staff, I couldn't have asked for a more considerate crew. They did so much to make my cat comfortable even in the chaos of an emergency vet room, and they worked so hard to find food for him to eat (he doesn't eat when he's nervous) and let me sit with him and he did eat a little! They really did so much for him and I saw so many attempts to make him comfortable, to distract him from the pain of a blood draw, to making a little "charcuterie board" of things for him to try, giving him a blanket/towel for him to burrow under. Even when he was spicy they were so patient with him. And I saw the same level of care for every pet I saw throughout the 48 hours I came in. For such stressful situations, I cannot think of a better place or team than the VEG South Tampa. I hope I never need them again, but I'd trust them implicitly in any pet emergency.
