Petco Reviews
I liked the convenience of the location after our local petshop closed but after today won't be coming back. I was very disappointed to find a shelf full of dead feeder insects. All their crickets and dubias were dead. It's like they just put them on the shelf when the shipment came in and never looked at them again. Highly unethical and overpriced. I'd rather drive a little farther to support a small business that actually cares.
Feb 19, 2025 · Kate WThe worst Petco I’ve ever visited. Fish tanks are absolutely filthy, the whole saltwater section wasn’t even working; all tanks had algae blooms and it smelt horrible with numerous tank filters covered in dead fish. Their turtle tank had a blue film on the top due to the filter not working. All of the bettas/live plant cups were disgusting, most of the plants were either dead or covered in mold. Ferrets were sleeping in their own feces, flies were everywhere, and they smelt awful (worse than their typical smell). One of their surrendered cockatiels was clearly unwell but there was no sign depicting it. In their reptile section one of their tarantulas was dead (no, it was not a molt) and the snakes/chameleons all had stuck shed and were clearly underfed and dehydrated. The cats were living in filth, cat sand and food was everywhere and it smelt like pee and poop. They were sweethearts though. The small animal section was really the only “normal” area considering how awful the care for the other animals is. Looks like they had decent bedding and food and seemed healthy-ish. I mentioned the fish tanks to staff and they didn’t seem to care considering the salt water tanks are the first thing you see when walking in. Please do something about this, you’re promoting animal abuse.
Apr 21, 2024 · VeloOh no, went in looking for a chew toy for the family pooch, we walked out of there with a plethora of chew toys squeaky ones and chewing ones, two outfits and even some dog food! Store was WELL stocked and our check out was fast! Saw a rain coat and boots I'm definitely coming back for!
Mar 25, 2025 · Sandi RodriguezI was thinking this is the worst pet store I've been to and I'm sad to see that the same issues have been ongoing for years based on reviews. Clearly, there is no intention by management or maybe even corporate to address the multiple problems facing this store. I recently drove to this location as it was the only one with the Garfield line in stock. I grabbed a few other things and went to check out. There was no one at the register. There was probably one other customer inside. Someone from grooming stepped out and rang for an associate to the register at least three times. No one came. I was about to just leave what I grabbed, but I made the drive up there so I figured I might as well go through with my purchase. When I walked back to the register I saw an employee opening boxes. She eventually made her way to the register. While ringing me up, she decided to walk away to do something else. I couldn't believe it. I had to wait for her to come back so I could finish paying. Don't think I'll bother with this location again
Feb 01, 2025 · Kathy PYour employees are friendly but the conditions the birds are in are absolutely abysmal. They have no enrichment, low-nutrient food, inadequate perches, no heat, no toys, they're imprisoned in solitary confinement with loud and disrespectful children banging on the windows as a form of torture. This is the opposite of animal welfare; this is animal abuse. Please stop the inhumane sale of birds. Adopt these birds out and please, cease to exploit animals for profit.
