ACCESS South Bay Introduce
For pet owners in California, the peace of mind that comes from knowing a high-quality emergency and specialty veterinary hospital is available around the clock is invaluable. Pet health emergencies can happen at any time, day or night, and having a facility that is prepared to provide immediate and comprehensive care is crucial. ACCESS South Bay, located in Torrance, California, is a premier veterinary hospital that specializes in emergency, urgent, and specialty care for pets. This is not a typical local vet for routine check-ups; instead, it is a dedicated center for critical situations and advanced medical needs. With a team of trained professionals and advanced technology, they are equipped to handle a wide range of complex medical issues that may be beyond the scope of a standard veterinary practice.
ACCESS South Bay's name itself, standing for Advanced Critical Care, Emergency, and Specialty Services, highlights its core mission. They are a referral hospital, meaning they often work in conjunction with a pet's regular veterinarian to provide specialized care when a pet's condition is severe or requires the expertise of a board-certified specialist. Whether it's a sudden illness, a traumatic injury, or a long-term chronic condition, their team is prepared to offer the highest level of care. The hospital's focus on advanced medicine, including critical care, cardiology, and neurology, positions them as a vital resource in the Southern California community. While experiences with cost and communication can be a concern for some pet owners, as is often the case with emergency medical services, the hospital's ability to provide life-saving and highly specialized care is a consistent highlight for many. The staff's compassion and expertise are frequently praised by pet owners, especially during what can be some of the most stressful moments of a pet's life.
The hospital is staffed by a team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians who are specifically trained in emergency and specialty medicine. This level of specialization ensures that pets receive care from professionals who are experts in their respective fields. The hospital’s commitment to providing excellent patient care is reflected in its advanced diagnostic capabilities and state-of-the-art treatment options. They are prepared for a variety of scenarios, from providing urgent care for non-critical issues to managing life-threatening conditions in their critical care unit. This dual focus on both urgent and critical care makes them a comprehensive solution for a wide spectrum of pet health emergencies, offering a safety net for pet owners throughout the South Bay.
ACCESS South Bay is conveniently situated at 2551 W 190th St, Torrance, CA 90504, USA. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Took my dog in immediately they were throwing high prices at me with out even diagnosing my dog I agreed to 1k for the overall check up took them about 3 hours to diagnose then they came back to me telling me my dog has pneumonia and we would need to leave him for 2 days the total came out to be $7,187.52. For one this is ridiculous in so many ways not only I declined the nurse smiled and rudely walked out. Talk about a slap in the face 0 care giving for my dog after that. I made multiple calls I attempted to see my option I even asked to speak with the Dr who runs in the back and hides himself after this estimate was given to me. I asked him I will take my dog with provided medication and treat him at home. He said my dog will die in 2-3 days talk about the professional environment here. So I decided to take my chance. What really got me is the nurse came in and asked if I would like them to start the antibiotics now I was like sure she said it’s 250 more for that at this point I was like give me my dog back he is going to die here. I don’t need paying $1,425 for this visit. It’s been 1 week and 2 days and my dog is now running and being himself with no problems I just want to tell the Dr no my dog did not die in 2-3 days. Respectfully I hope karma will hit this place bad and hard and I hope all you guys working here will get karma so bad. I wish you guys nothing but bad luck for the scam you have running here .
July 10 · Dirty DockPart 2 of treatment for our senior terrier Zoe when we found out the good news that her heart was not the root of her illness we were then referred to internist DR. MILLIE GRIMES for further evaluation and she was terrific! after running a few tests Dr. Grimes spent a great deal of time explaining her findings and went through in detail different options of further treatment for her primary issue and while examining Zoe she came across a few additional issues we should address and how to proceed. And like DR. ZIMMERMAN she answered all our questions in a way we could understand so we could come to a decision on next steps. We also appreciated the kindness and compassion both her and tech assistant Chris who was also very nice and informative. For anyone who needs to see a Dr of internal medicine we highly recommend Dr. Grimes. Thank you for taking such great care of our Zoe

July 11 · karry kiyonagaSparky’s MiracleOur eleven-year-old fox-red Labrador Sparky had always been our family’s heartbeat—until that terrifying night when he suddenly stopped eating and struggled to breathe.Panic-stricken, my wife rushed him to the hospital at 6 AM, only to learn doctors wouldn’t arrive until 9. Desperate, we found Southbay Access Hospital as our only emergency option. The reviews were terrible, but we had no choice. What happened next changed everything. From the moment we arrived, the staff embraced us with unexpected warmth and compassion. Dr. De Costa Gomez became our hero, explaining everything with gentle transparency before performing miraculous surgery. Dr. Brittany Li then provided critical care with the same love we would have given. When we brought Sparky home—tail wagging weakly but eyes bright with life—we knew we had witnessed something extraordinary. To everyone at Southbay Access Hospital: you took our darkest moment and filled it with light. Our family is forever grateful for giving us back our precious boy.Sparky is home, and our hearts overflow with gratitude.
