When our dog Scooby started getting older he developed anxiety so severe he couldn't sleep through the night. He would run around the bedroom crying and barking at all hours. He also started going potty inside the house. Our vet highly recommended Dr. Krause and told us she was very experienced in dealing with this behavior. She was wonderful to work with and we felt that she really cared for Scooby. We tried everything she recommended for as long as it took to help him feel calmer so he could peacefully sleep through the night. Dr. Krause was very knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. We enjoyed working with her and are very thankful for her help. We highly recommend her. - Kelly Wilkinson

  • Dr. Kari Krause's course of treatment made a world of difference after our in-home consultation to address our 3-year-old cat Monte's behavioral issues. He had been acting out through excessive urine-marking and attacking other cats in our nine-cat, two-adult household. After implementing Dr. Krause's suggestions regarding litter box cleaning/placement and making changes to other areas shared by our cats, combined with daily medication for Monte's anxiety, we've seen an incredible difference ~ our cats' stress levels, as well as our own, have dropped to a level we hadn't thought possible. Thank you, Dr. Krause ~ my husband and I encourage others facing frustrating cat issues to turn to a professional for help and give their cat(s) another chance!

  • I found Dr. Kraus to be very helpful. Training alone wasn't benefitting my dog as much as it should've, and Dr. Kraus was able to diagnose my pup as well as provide medication that could help my dog along with a training plan. My pup is getting along with her sister much better and able to relax better at home thanks to Dr. Kraus.

  • Our vet referred us to Dr. Krause for our 2 year old rescue. Max was acting aggressively toward certain people, growling and nipping at them, and (as an added bonus!) urinating inside. Between the medication and mitigation strategies we learned, Max is a lot happier (and we are happy he no longer pees indoors!). Max is still scared of lots of things (the car, the vet, school buses, any dog on tv), but now we understand how to make him a little more comfortable in these situations. Thank you Dr. Krause! My only regret is not seeing her sooner.

  • My experience with Dr. Krause and Angie at Great Lakes Veterinary Behavior Consults has been nothing short of exceptional. My dog, Rocky, struggles with fearful reactivity towards people. Being an owner of a dog with this kind of struggle is extremely trying, and these woman have supported me every step of the way. They are patient, kind, and work with you to improve your skillsets as an owner to best help your fur baby. I feel seen and heard with any concerns and questions I have for them. They have been KEY in helping my dog overcome is reactivity. Rocky and I still have a long road ahead of us but I feel confident in my abilities thanks to Dr. Krause and Angie. Highly recommend if you have an animal that struggles with behavioral issues!
