All Animals Veterinary Hospital Introduce
Serving the diverse animal community of Dickson and the surrounding Middle Tennessee region, **All Animals Veterinary Hospital** operates as a full-service **Animal Hospital** committed to providing extensive care that truly lives up to its name. Established in 1992, this practice has grown considerably, offering high-quality **Medicine And Surgery** to a wide spectrum of creatures: household pets, farm livestock, and even **Exotic Animal** species. Located on Highway 48 North, the clinic has become a fixture for many local Tennessee families seeking professional and thorough veterinary attention.
The hospital’s core philosophy centers on offering advanced medical services using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. They provide a broad range of capabilities, from routine preventive care like **Vaccinations** and **Yearly Physical Examinations** to complex procedures such as **Orthopedic Surgeries** and **Routine Surgical Procedures**, including **Spay & Neuter**. The commitment to utilizing technology is evident in their in-house diagnostic setup, which includes **Radiography And Ultrasonography** (often referred to as **Xrays/Ultrasound**) and comprehensive **In House Blood Work** and **In Hospital Testing**, allowing for quick and accurate diagnosis. This advanced capability ensures that when your pet needs medical attention, the team is equipped to provide **Advanced Diagnostics** right away.
A unique feature of All Animals Veterinary Hospital is its dedication to mixed-practice veterinary medicine. They expertly manage the health of **Small Animals**, primarily dogs and cats, while also offering crucial **Large Animal** services. For many Tennessee farmers and landowners, the availability of **Farm Calls** is essential, ensuring that livestock can receive necessary care in their own environment. Additionally, the clinic’s specialization in **Exotic Animal** care addresses the unique needs of non-traditional pets, a service not commonly offered by all local clinics.
While the clinic strives for excellence, clients should be aware of a mixed reception, particularly concerning emergency and walk-in efficiency. One long-time client praised the team's profound **compassion** during a difficult time: "Their care for our baby Trix, was so wonderful. Then their compassion for when we had to put her to sleep was so heart warming. They helped take care of all arrangements with cremation & urn. Thank you so much." However, another customer noted significant issues with urgency for walk-in emergencies and transparency regarding their drop-off policy, reporting long waits for a severely injured dog and feeling unwelcome after mentioning their foster dog's breed. This suggests that while their medical quality and end-of-life care are highly regarded, potential clients should adhere strictly to the **Appointments recommended** policy and call ahead for any urgent care situations to confirm their ability to receive immediate attention.
The practice’s long-standing presence in the community—established in 1992—and the extension of their services to a dedicated satellite clinic, White Bluff Animal Clinic, showcases a commitment to serving the wider Dickson area with comprehensive veterinary medicine.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I’ve brought my dog to this clinic twice, both times out of urgency — and both times were profoundly disappointing.First visit: My dog had a severe leg laceration and was actively bleeding. We arrived at 9:30am February 22, 2023, to an empty lobby. After filling out paperwork, we were asked to wait. Despite the clear emergency, we sat for 30 minutes with blood dripping down her leg before anyone took her back. I was told she’d be ready in a few hours. After multiple check-ins throughout the day, it became clear she hadn’t even been examined — not until nearly 4pm. If I had known she’d sit in a kennel all day without care, I never would have left her.Second visit: A year later on Feb 14, 2024, she was attacked by another dog, leaving a deep chest wound. I had a newborn in the car and needed quick help. After waiting 10 minutes to be acknowledged, I was told there would be a $110 emergency fee (understandable), but then informed they’d “fit me in” by 5:45 — a full two hours later — because I was a walk-in. I asked to drop her off due to my baby being unattended, and was told they don’t allow drop-offs after 8am — which I know for a fact isn’t true. I left, called Dickson Vet Clinic, and they saw her immediately — 15 minutes before closing.Additional experience: I once called ahead to bring in a foster dog for vaccines. Everything was fine — until I mentioned he was a pit mix. Suddenly, they refused, calling him a liability. It was clear, blatant breed discrimination. These are not isolated bad days — they’re a reflection of the clinic’s culture: disorganized, lacking urgency, and selectively compassionate. I’ve also had professional interactions with the owner, and unfortunately, the arrogance and duplicity I encountered matched the clinic’s lack of care. If this is how people are treated, I fear for how the animals are handled behind closed doors.I wouldn’t return here under any circumstance. There are far better clinics — with better ethics — nearby. August 11 · Shira Jesse

- This place really takes care of you. I went in panicked today and Dr. John made my experience as great as possible. He was kind, knowledgeable, extensively listened to me, cared, and answered all of my questions with zero frustration. The front office staff are also exceptionally kind and understanding. A bad day became a good one. Good experience through and through. Definitely recommend this office to anyone! June 23 · Summer
- Dr Zach Howard has given our cat, Dakota, the best care we could ask for. He has even taken videos of him playing with Dakota and offering us so much care, comfort and kindness when explaining Dakota's prognosis. We are so appreciative of him. He is a terrific vet and treats each animal as if it was his. Thank you, Dr Howard. November 05 · Mickey Freeman
