East Bay Vivarium Reviews
The East Bay Vivarium is one of the largest Reptile pet shops in the United States. The number of animals that they have is large, but several years ago they used to have a lot more. It’s still a great place to go to look around and see what they have, and to get advice from the people who work there, most of whom have a lot of reptile experience. Their prices on feeders are good and they have both live and frozen. They also carry a decent selection of amphibians, and a few vertebrates. If you’re looking for a used cage, they often have several of them for sale at very reasonable prices.
Mar 12, 2025 · Steve TakataThis place is so awesome. I board my tortoise here when I go out of town. They’re always available and ready to take great care of him. Their animals are so healthy and well cared for. I bought my tortoise here a few years ago and they told me exactly what he needs to keep him healthy and happy. They’re always happy to see him and comment on how healthy he is. I love this place so much!
May 27, 2025 · Vivienne HarrBoarded my beardie here for two weeks and after bringing him home, I noticed his tail was crooked and he was extremely dehydrated (drank for ~5 mins when I dripped water on his nose, which he usually doesn’t care much for). Took him to urgent care and x-ray showed luxated tail bone in two parts (which it’ll never recover straight again), impacted colon from dehydration, stuck femoral pores, and significant weight loss. It makes me really sad that he wasn’t as well taken care as I’d hoped he’d be at a vivarium that prides themselves on reptile care.
Apr 19, 2025 · Winie L.This is my favorite place. It’s a store, but it’s also like a trip to a reptile museum. Don’t sleep on the bargain bin outside the front door!
May 10, 2025 · Erin ColcordInteresting place! Love the beautiful snakes and iguanas. A bit smelly but still a nice experience!
