spayed
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had both of our dogs fixed here in January and our experience here was awesome! Our male working dog (Dutch Shepherd/Malinois) is spicy and they were able to handle him muzzled of course!) no problem and judgement free. Both dogs have healed up beautifully! Thank you guys so much for your kindness and patience 🩷
March 28 · Alexis LacheneyI took both of my girls here to get spayed for a Black Friday sale and I’m very happy with my experience. I felt like my dogs were in good hands, and I really appreciated Dr Lord calling me directly with updates. Him and Priscilla were very communicative the entire time, which put me at ease and was very reassuring. I’m very happy with the staff both here and at their sister clinic. Haley and Jessica always give my pets the best care.
December 28 · Ellie BramhallWe found this amazing and caring Vet through a friend of ours who saw the „Fall special“ about spaying and neutering.I got in contact with the Animal Surgical & Dental Clinic and Priscilla was just incredible, we had a lot of questions and we always had a quick answer on our email. We are European travellers in a VW Van, so there were a few concerns on our site (planning/timeing of her being in heat), but like i mentioned Priscilla and the Team were always patience. We had the surgery appointment on November 5th 2024, had Malia spayed and at the same timethe removal of the back dewclaws. What we really liked was that they still performed the surgery even though she was in heat!At pick up time Dr. Beth Kissack herself took the time to explain how everything went throughout the operation and how the next few days/weeks we had to medicate our dog but we also got a list to help remember it all.She even used self absorbent threads so we didn’t had to go back in which was in our case very helpful. The next day Priscilla checked in with us to see how Malia was doing and after we sended the pictures of her scars/stitches Dr. Beth Kissack took the time to look at it and giving us reassurance on Malia‘s healing process. It’s been a long time having such a good customer/patient service, to have that feeling they do care! Can highly recommend!Thank you again.
February 22 · Pamela Hutter-BianchiniWhat an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My dog was having issues over several days with bleeding from his mouth. I called another animal dental clinic near Renton that was recommended, after three calls over three days, they never bothered to return my messages. Priscilla answered at Animal Surgical and Dental, and very kindly and professionally got my dog an appointment to have his mouth checked. His issue did require surgery, but the team did a thorough check and addressed an infected ear AND gave him a super nail trim. The follow up for his care, the obvious concern for his well being - all were top notch. A plus that the procedure was reasonably priced. Facility was spotless, all staff were pleasant, communicated clearly and explained everything involved in his treatment and follow up care. Would highly recommend this facility.
October 22 · Cindy HemedingerDr. Kissack prevented our dog from undergoing an unnecessary removal of her spleen. What happened:Another vet had noticed in an x ray that our dog’s spleen was enlarged, often a sign of a terribly invasive cancer. The vet assumed that was probably what our dog had and told us the only reliable way to diagnose it was via a splenectomy (removal of the spleen) and biopsy. That vet then quoted us a surprisingly high price. We declined and took our dog home to get other surgery quotes. We then noticed that this surgical clinic had recently opened on our corner. The girl at the front desk was super kind and got us in for surgery the next business day. Not just that but they quoted us THOUSANDS less than the other vet. When Dr Kissack reviewed the imaging that had been done previously, she said that she could do the surgery if that’s what we wanted, but suggested getting additional imaging done to determine the extent of the (likely) cancer - if the imaging were to show signs of cancer spread, then it wouldn’t improve her prognosis to put our dog through the surgery. We took her advice and pursued the additional imaging at Summit Referral in Tacoma, a place she recommended. The doctor at Summit was amazing - they did additional imaging/tests, and shared the incredible news with us that our dog does not have cancer!! Just a harmless condition that causes red blood cells to be produced in the spleen, causing enlargement. And we didn’t have to remove her spleen to find that out, all thanks to Dr. Kissack.Dr. Kissack could have just done the surgery and taken our money, but she prevented us and our dog the unnecessary time, pain, and money.THANK YOU to this clinic for not rushing us into surgery like the initial vet did. It was so kind and responsible of Dr. Kissack to encourage us to seek more info first to ensure we were proceeding with the least invasive option possible for our dog. We will definitely be back if/when any of our animals do require surgery. Our dog, Wendy, says thank you for helping her hold on to her spleen!!
