The Country Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located at 1181 Country Ln, Mocksville, NC 27028, USA. This address places it within easy reach for residents of Mocksville and the wider Davie County area. Mocksville, positioned within the Piedmont region of North Carolina, benefits from good road connectivity, making the hospital accessible to clients from neighboring counties such as Rowan, Iredell, and Forsyth.
The "Country Lane" address evokes a serene, accessible setting, which can contribute to a less stressful experience for pets visiting the vet. For most North Carolina pet owners, driving is the primary mode of transport to veterinary appointments, and the location appears to facilitate this. The hospital's stated hours of operation, including extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays (8 AM - 7 PM) compared to other weekdays (8 AM - 5 PM), offer increased flexibility for pet owners with busy schedules, enhancing its functional accessibility for the local community. They also offer boarding and grooming services, adding to the convenience for clients.

The Country Veterinary Hospital aims to provide a high level of care, and several features stand out, though some reviews indicate varied experiences:
Comprehensive "One-Stop Shop" for Pet Needs: The hospital offers an extensive range of services, including advanced medical care, surgery, dentistry, boarding, daycare, and grooming. This integrated approach can be very convenient for busy pet owners.
State-of-the-Art Diagnostics: Equipped with digital radiography, ultrasounds, in-house hematology, and endoscopy, they can provide advanced diagnostic capabilities for accurate and timely health assessments.
Emphasis on Preventative Care: Their focus on routine check-ups and wellness plans underscores a proactive approach to pet health, aiming to prevent serious issues before they arise.
Dedicated Boarding and Grooming Facilities: "The Inn" for boarding and "The Spa" for grooming suggest well-designed, comfortable, and specialized areas for non-medical pet care, with perks like private rooms and access to veterinary care if needed.
Compassionate Care (Positive Experiences): Many clients highlight the "awesome" and "friendly" staff and vets who "went above and beyond" during difficult times, particularly with sick pets, and showed great care during boarding. The ability to call daily for updates on boarded pets is highly appreciated.
Fear Free Certified®: Their commitment to being Fear Free Certified indicates a proactive effort to reduce stress and anxiety for pets during their visits, promoting a more positive experience.
However, it's also important to acknowledge areas of concern raised by some customers:
Inconsistent Communication & Aftercare Instructions: One significant negative review points to a lack of clear aftercare instructions for spayed cats (stitch removal), varying quotes, and perceived neglect in follow-up regarding a dog's unhealed paw.
Concerns about Cost and Transparency: The same review expresses frustration over perceived excessive testing/costs and the need for repeat visits just for medication refills, suggesting a focus on "money rather than the pet."
These varying experiences suggest that while the hospital aims for high standards, individual outcomes and perceptions of communication and billing can differ.

The Country Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Love all the staff here. They always do a great job with all my pets especially with my baby, Riggs. They went above and beyond when we first got him. He was very sickly, and the vets and staff were awesome with him. We also had to board him for the weekend right after we first got him. We were not able to take him with us, everyone did a great job taking care of him. I also was able to call daily just to check in and see how he was doing, and everyone was so friendly when I called.
May 21, 2025 · Misti MyersHave taken most of our pets on our small farm here over the past year. The 1st 2 visits were good but every single visit afterwards has been a joke! The veterinarian seems more concerned about money than the pet & the communication for the care for your pets that SHOULD be a huge priority, is non existent. This past visit was ridiculous & unforgivable for us! We brought in 3 animals, 2 cats which were getting spayed & a dog that has an infected paw.the animals were picked up after receiving 5 different quotes of the day which we asked to speak with whomever was incharge of that area! We paid, to make a long story short! Move ahead 6 weeks later BOTH cats still have stitches. we thought were dissolving but found out yesterday they were NOT but NO ONE told us to return to get them removed or nothing of the sorts! We got handed a bag of medications & told have a nice day! NEVER received any paperwork on after care just a bag & description of medications. On top of all this our dogs paw never healed with the antibiotics & allergy medications but they want us to bring her back in just to get a refill on the allergy meds! That will be $175 alone im sure just like last time. Still havent been told when to bring the cats in for stitch removal & we live 35 minutes away! Very disappointed in such a fancy veterinarian office that we drive to another town just to get neglected! If anyone can suggest a different vet office that actually cares about pets please let me know !
Feb 23, 2025 · eric killeenTransferred all of my pets here after they took me in for 2 emergency situations when my old vet couldn’t. Their customer/animal care is always amazing, they’re very upfront about pricing, and are far more affordable than other vets I’ve been to. I live 45 minutes away and the drive is worth it for the care they give my pets.
May 14, 2025 · Morgan MasencupOur baby was hurting and we couldn't figure out why. After being up all night and his normal vet not seeing him we went to the emergency vet. The wait was four hours. My husband found these folks and called them. They were right there waiting for us. They treated us like we were family. Our baby is home resting and finally pain free. I love these folks.
Dec 21, 2024 · Blair Morris McClureI brought my basset Ralphie in. He is a rescue dog that was beaten pretty bad and he is afraid of people. I would call him a fear bitter. They took very good care of him and treated him just like any other dog. It's not his fault his was treated so badly most of his life. They were compassionate and caring with him. Most vets wouldn't even see him. Thank you for see him. This is a picture of him on drugs we had to give him. He slept all the way home
