★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you've ever worked in the exotic vet field, you know how hard it is to come by an honest-to-goodness ABVP exotic vet that knows what they're doing. My former employer in Florida actually recommended these folks to me. It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it. The staff here has always been amazing and compassionate to us and our crew of guinea pigs and I've yet to have a bad encounter in the 5+ years we've been coming. So, highly recommended to especially anyone with unconventional pets. Yes the costs are high, but anyone getting an exotic, even if it's "just" a $20 budgie, should hopefully come prepared knowing any bird or reptile or small mammal is going to require specialized care. The prices are far from unreasonable though, knowing what I know about what things cost, they are actually very fair. This section is not at all criticism, my 5 stars stand regardless, but merely some suggestions. If there were two things I could change, it'd be:A) Finding some method to allow owners to be with their loved ones being euthanized. I understand the concern with the anesthesia gas, but this never was a factor for my vet, and maybe there's a good middle ground by asking the owner to wear a respirator or something? It's just something I personally really prefer to do.B) Offering lower-cost treatment options for "advanced" owners. I admittedly don't know exactly how one would go about determining this, but I feel a little silly paying for someone to give injections when that was my job for years. This may be my Florida bias speaking, but although we've personally managed it with some effort, not everyone can swing the high hospitalization costs. It used to be our credo that any treatment was better than no treatment, and thus we'd give owners the option of just paying for all the meds and supplies and wishing them the best of luck. Again, I'm sure there's some liability thing at work here, but a waiver could be a thing.
June 09 · SherrasamaThe people at Pine Tree Veterinary Clinic are fantastic for all of my animals (dog, cats, and rabbits). They are kind, calm, and caring. My dog can be very anxious, and they are amazing with him. They are also very knowledgeable about my rabbits and great about explaining things in a way I can easily understand. I love them!
June 09 · Maggie Fox⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We can’t say enough good things about Pine Tree Veterinary Hospital! Our little Yorkie, Frank, is truly part of our family, and the care he receives here is nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walk in, we’re treated with kindness, compassion, and genuine love for animals. The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure Frank is comfortable and well cared for—whether it’s a routine check-up or something more serious. The doctors are incredibly knowledgeable, the staff is patient and thorough, and we always leave feeling informed and confident in Frank’s care. It’s such a relief to have a vet we trust wholeheartedly. Thank you, Pine Tree Vet, for treating Frank like one of your own. We’re so grateful to have you as part of his health journey! 🐾❤️
May 15 · Emily Howard (The Howard Team)Dr. Amanda Zellar and the whole staff were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. It is very obvious that they love what they do and care very deeply about the animals that they are taking care of. I brought my bearded dragon in for a mobility issue and Dr. Zellar was able to get to the root of the problem very quickly with an x-ray and some bloodwork. She was compassionate, informative and very gentle with our lizard. A big thanks to all of you :)
March 06 · Gina MansoAbsolute BEST place to bring your Avian companion. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I sincerely feel that our birds are genuinely cared for, and Dr Ferguson is the TOPS!
