Animals Unlimited Vet Hospital Reviews
Here's an honest review. Never used there services, just here to pickup someone. However, from what I've heard, they're pretty good. Got a few pictures of the outside for their Google profile. Keep up the great business guys!
Jul 18, 2024 · Stellar Dakota J DunnWe moved to the area from Columbus and needed a vet closer. They are listed as an emergency vet however they are not. I took my senior dog in for a cough and let the vet know our previous vet had diagnosed her with the start of a heart murmur (this was diagnosed with listening to the heart with stethoscope and xray, then confirmed with ultrasound). The vet at Animals Unlimited claimed to not hear anything by listening to her heart, did an xray and claimed it was fine. Diagnosed her with a collapsing trachea and prescribed a medicine I have to get at a human pharmacy. Since it’s a controlled substance we can not do an early refill so I always request a new prescription when there’s a couple days left. This last time we took the script to the pharmacy only to be told the vet wrote the wrong drug name (they kept the prescription). I called the vet and they said I had to bring the old one back. I explained the pharmacy kept it and they said they’d call to confirm and get the new prescription wrote up. This was late in the evening so I came the next day to get the new prescription (had no communication from them telling me otherwise) only to be told the vet refused and I had to get the old one to get a new one. Additionally it was a Friday and they had no vets in and would not until Monday (dog was out of the medicine by this point with an extreme heat advisory coming over the weekend). I explained this and said she can not breathe without this medication to which the girl shrugged her shoulders and said “I don’t know what to tell you”. I immediately started looking for a new vet based on this. A few days ago, the same dog had what looked like a seizure, I took her to the new vet we had found only to find out she has a grade 4 heart murmur close to congestive heart failure and was not getting enough blood to her brain which caused her to pass out. They were able to easily hear the murmur via stethoscope and confirmed the condition of her heart via xray. She does have a relaxed trachea but not collapsing and her cough was due to her heart. I will never take another animal to Animals Unlimited and strongly advise no one does!
