For responsible pet owners across New York City, particularly in the vibrant communities of Queens like Rego Park, ensuring the health and well-being of our animal companions is a top priority. A crucial aspect of responsible pet ownership, and one that significantly impacts both individual pet health and community welfare, is spaying and neutering. This essential procedure helps control pet overpopulation, reduces behavioral issues, and offers significant health benefits for your beloved furry friends. Spay Neuter Clinic has established itself as a trusted name in the Queens community for its focused approach to pet sterilization. They understand that the decision to spay or neuter can come with a mix of practical considerations and emotional apprehension. Their mission is to make this essential procedure accessible, safe, and stress-free for both pets and their owners. By specializing in spay and neuter surgeries, they are able to streamline their processes, maintain high standards of care, and often offer these services at a more reasonable price point compared to full-service veterinary hospitals. This specialization allows them to excel in this specific area of veterinary medicine, providing peace of mind to countless pet owners.
This article will provide an in-depth look at Spay Neuter Clinic, detailing its convenient location, the specialized services it offers, and the standout features that have earned it such positive acclaim from local New Yorkers. We aim to equip you with the information needed to understand why this clinic is a valuable resource for contributing to a healthier pet population and ensuring your animal lives a longer, more fulfilling life. The clinic's dedication extends beyond the surgical suite, encompassing thorough pre- and post-operative support, demonstrating a true commitment to comprehensive care.
The importance of spaying and neutering cannot be overstated. For female pets, spaying can prevent uterine infections and significantly reduce the risk of mammary (breast) cancer. For male pets, neutering eliminates the risk of testicular cancer and can reduce the likelihood of prostate problems. Behaviorally, these procedures can curb roaming, reduce aggression, minimize urine marking, and alleviate the stress associated with heat cycles. Spay Neuter Clinic plays a pivotal role in delivering these benefits to the pets of New York.
---Spay Neuter Clinic is conveniently located at 92-29 Queens Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374, USA. This strategic location places the clinic on Queens Boulevard, one of the major arteries of Queens. This ensures excellent visibility and straightforward access for pet owners traveling from various parts of the borough and even beyond. Rego Park is a bustling residential and commercial neighborhood, making the clinic an integral part of the local community infrastructure.
The clinic's position on Queens Boulevard means it is easily reachable by car. While parking in New York City can sometimes be a challenge, being on a main thoroughfare often provides more options, including potential street parking or nearby commercial parking facilities, though availability may vary. The accessibility is a significant factor for pet owners, especially when transporting an animal for surgery, where convenience and minimal stress are paramount.
For those who rely on public transportation, Spay Neuter Clinic's location is also highly advantageous. Queens Boulevard is well-served by multiple MTA bus lines, providing connections from numerous neighborhoods across Queens. Furthermore, the Rego Park subway station (serving the M and R lines) is typically within a reasonable walking distance or a short bus ride, linking the clinic to the broader New York City subway network. This robust public transit access ensures that a wide array of New Yorkers can reach the clinic without the need for a private vehicle, highlighting its role as a key community service provider for responsible pet ownership. The clinic's accessibility helps ensure that more pets can receive the vital sterilization procedures they need, contributing to the overall health and control of the pet population in the metropolitan area.
---As its name clearly indicates, Spay Neuter Clinic specializes primarily in pet sterilization procedures. However, the comprehensive care they provide around these surgeries ensures a safe and effective experience for your pet.
- Spaying (Ovariohysterectomy) for Female Pets: This surgical procedure involves the removal of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus of female cats and dogs. It prevents unwanted pregnancies, eliminates heat cycles, and significantly reduces the risk of mammary tumors, uterine infections (pyometra), and ovarian/uterine cancers.
- Neutering (Orchiectomy) for Male Pets: This surgical procedure involves the removal of the testicles of male cats and dogs. It prevents reproduction, reduces the likelihood of certain behavioral issues (such as roaming, aggression, and urine marking), and eliminates the risk of testicular cancer while reducing prostate problems.
- Pre-Surgical Examination: Before any surgery, the clinic conducts a thorough examination to ensure the pet is healthy enough for the procedure. This is a critical step to identify any potential risks and ensure the safety of the animal under anesthesia.
- Anesthesia and Pain Management: The clinic uses modern anesthetic protocols to ensure pets are comfortable and pain-free during the surgery. This also includes careful monitoring of vital signs throughout the procedure.
- Post-Operative Care Instructions: A key part of their service, as highlighted by customer reviews, is providing detailed written and verbal instructions on how to care for your pet after surgery. This ensures a smooth recovery at home and helps prevent complications.
- Follow-Up Communication: The clinic goes the extra mile by calling clients the day after surgery to check on the pet's recovery, demonstrating their continued care and support even after the animal has returned home.
- Vaccinations (Often Required/Recommended): While primarily a spay/neuter clinic, based on general practice, it is common for such clinics to require pets to be up-to-date on vaccinations prior to surgery to minimize health risks. Some may also offer basic vaccinations alongside the sterilization procedure.
Spay Neuter Clinic stands out for several key features and highlights that are consistently praised by their clientele, making them a top choice for pet sterilization in the New York area.

- Reasonable Pricing: Affordability is a significant highlight, with clients noting that the services are "reasonably priced." This makes essential pet sterilization accessible to a wider range of pet owners, aligning with the goal of humane pet population control.
- Thorough Post-Operative Information: A crucial feature is the provision of detailed "papers with all information how to take care after surgery." This empowers pet owners to provide optimal home care, contributing to successful recoveries.

Whole checkup took less than 5 mins. then I was given a bill of neutering, Around $1000 , a careful look at the bill found that the neutering fee does not include sedatives, sedation costs $350. I was charged $85 on line in order to get the price of the neutering fee. How is your feeling ? Clarification on 18/03/2025:1. My dog had a blood test done within a week before coming here, which cost over $100, and the results were confirmed to be normal. However, I was still charged an $85 examination fee.2. Within a month after leaving this clinic, we went to another clinic and had the spay/neuter surgery completed.3. My dog had received all required vaccinations starting from one month after birth, and I provided them with valid proof of vaccination.
Mar 18, 2025 · Anna YeeI decided to try this vet clinic recommend by friend …I went in to get a yearly physical for my pit bull Jackson …he has always been super scared of vets , anxious around strangers , and not too friendly to random people ( he is a rescue ) … I haven’t found a vet that he was comfortable with that’s why I decided to try this clinic …Right when we walked in we were greeted with a huge smile by the receptionist, and were taken in right at our appointment time ( whew what a relief 😅).. Once we were in the room the vet Katya walked again with a huge smile super friendly , eager to hear what concerns I have about jackson ( he does have a small growth on his left elbow ) .. As I looked down at jackson he was waging his tail looking at Katya… She approached him and started to examine him …omg my dog simply stood there waging his tail , not anxious , not scared 😱!!!!!!! After a thorough examination was completed I felt so much relief this is it …my dog likes this vet which was evident by his behavior of no anxiety , and easiness during the exam we have finally found OUR VET!!!!! Even the PRICE was outstanding with the current inflation everywhere for our visit …Katya is an amazing vet , knowledgeable, understanding and competent …we have another appointment coming up to take care of the growth wish us luck ❤️ I recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone with an animal if you care about your pet and want the best service provided for them !!!!!
