Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I'm so very disappointed! I have never been treated so bad in my life. The first visit I made took three hours for routine checkups and shots. The staff took my dog to the back to give him shots. This is the first time in any Banfield that they took my dog from me to do his shots in the back. When he came back you could tell right away someone or something happened to him. Not thinking about it the nurse came in and recommended when he comes for his follow up to give him some drugs to calm him down. My dog was just a little over a year old at the time. Signed up for a wellness plan because I was told it covered everything going forward for next year. After leaving I realized someone had been mean to him or did something to him. I didn't think much about it because I'd been there for over three hours. Next visit I showed up and the nurse asked if I gave him the medicine to make sure he's calm. I replied no, I was not drugging my dog for no reason. I asked if they could do everything in front of me because I didn't feel comfortable with him going into the back. They said absolutely no problem. My dog was perfectly calm and got his shots after a two hour wait. So I signed him up to get neutered. So today I took him in at 7:30 am this morning. No one up front had to wait to be helped. They immediately took me to a room with my dog. This nurse came in with this condescending attitude and talked down to me. She asked again if my dog was given the calming medicine. I said no why and she said we can't see without the medicine. I said that's weird because they had no problems at the last visit. She abruptly tells me then you will have to wait for the nurses to come in the room and give him the medication for neutering. So I asked why didn't anyone communicate this information in the prior days. Again she just said I don't know and left the room. I've now been there for an hour to drop my dog off for his appointment. Then a male nurse came in with a cloth muzzle and said this is the largest muzzle he currently had. So I put it on him and he was perfectly fine. The nurse led him out of the room. Not even three minutes out of the room I hear a faint cry. So i stood up and headed to the door that led to the back. I stood there for a moment and heard my dog cry again so I opened the door. There stood the male nurse with my dog's leash in hand and my dog going nuts. I grabbed the leash to discover that he had tightened the muzzle so tight my dog couldn't breathe. As soon as I removed the over tightened muzzle he stopped and took a huge breath of air. I was absolutely appalled that they would treat animals in this kind of manner. I tossed the muzzle which was cloth on the floor. The two nurses immediately yelled at me and got angry. And said that they would not help with my animal or me as a customer and shut the door. I'm now just sitting in this room with my dog. The original nurse came back in and said they wouldn't be able to do the neutering and gave me the corporate office number. I absolutely will never take my animals to Banfield ever again. Horrible experience!
Jun 16, 2025 · Thorpe ParsonsWords cannot express how grateful I am to Banfield for taking such great care of my grand puppy Pisces throughout the years. Every employee that we had dealt with throughout these years have always been so thoughtful and kind. Unfortunately at the end of March we found out Pisces was very sick and the compassion that we received from Doctor Collette and the staff was just unbelievable. Thank you so much to all of the staff, you will forever have a place in my heart.
May 11, 2025 · Nadine MillerOnly reason I put 4 stars is that some days they can be running a bit behind. This of course could be due to more complex cases earlier in the day, but also there are just generally more cases because they're understaffed at this location and overworked. The staff are friendly and helpful and the vets in particular seem to really care. They have great bedside manner and are quite personable. I've never had any sort of egregious, unsolvable issue with this practice that couldn't be attributed to corporate responsibility such as an issue with the Optimum Wellness program, which could only be resolved by customer service. A very satisfied customer here!!!!
Mar 22, 2025 · Bronwyn Wright-Riveraaffordable health insurance plans. Caring staff, convenient scheduling all adds up to great care for your pet. I wouldn’t want to take Zoe anywhere else.
May 29, 2025 · zarifa lawsonSeverely understaffed. Charging MORE because they are understaffed and they told us that explicitly to our face with an attitude. How are you gonna charge extra to people because you’re understaffed when for YEARS the prices have always remained the same. They go through staff like nothing. The older staff were excellent but this new staff disgust me.The lady who helped us also looked like she absolutely hated working there as she proceeded to tug and drag my dog with a dirty look to the back.I also overheard the staff talking about me and my dog behind my back like nothing all because I found $65 absurd for an ear cleaning when it’s always been $23. Can’t believe I was made fun of because they thought I was too cheap for finding $65 too expensive when I always pay $23, EVERY SINGLE TIME.But hey, you’re understaffed so why not charge the customer 3x’s what they typically pay, right?Ever since they moved to this new location it has been an absolute mess. Please avoid bringing your dogs here.
