Small Door Veterinary - Gramercy Reviews
Small door vet is amazing. I have had overwhelmingly positive experiences at every location, and with every vet. My older dog saw Dr. Stevenson today who was so patient and took the time to explain options very clearly to me, along with her warm and sincere vet techs. I also really appreciate the transparency around pricing and non-judgement of those of us who want to give our pets the highest quality care but still have to be conscious of budget. I highly highly recommend
Jun 26, 2025 · Shae GrantI highly recommend Small Door Vet. I just got my first cat a few months ago, and their mobile app, 24/7 customer service, annual membership, and great in-person service has made getting care for my new cat so easy. She had to have surgery, only a few weeks after I got her, and they provided me with updates throughout the day, and thorough instructions for aftercare. The app makes it easy to schedule last minute appointments, and they have so many locations in NYC that I can plan based on where I will be that day. Their waiting area has drinks and treats for the pet parents and their pets, and the staff are so kind and helpful.
Jun 20, 2025 · Rex WagenheimUnfortunately, they think they're too big to fail. Tend Dentistry 2.0Despite the dribble of one of the Founders on why they started Small Door & wanting to set the gold standard in veterinary health - this is nothing more than exploiting owners when their pets are most vulnerable. After being a loyal Wellness + member for three years I entrusted Small Door through their international relocation program. Sadly, they don't know what they are doing.I was originally quoted a fixed cost for the service which has now ballooned to at least 3x that.Anyone who has gone through international relocation for their pet knows how stressful this period can be. Instead, at the final hurdle my bank declined what they thought was a fraudulent transaction & as a result my pet has now been delayed because Small Door refused to release the documents.Small Door made little to no attempt to contact me about this & instead felt it was best to hold my pet ransom. How's that for care? The app is also garbage. Buggy, doesn't track invoicing properly, just bad. Moreover, after contacting one of the Founders assured me that he would look into this. Sadly, I think he may have gotten too tied up with opening a new location elsewhere for more people to exploit. If you care about your pet, find somewhere that has your pets best interest at heart, somewhere that treats their own veterinary staff like the professionals they, & somewhere that doesn't hold pets ransom for a measly $700.Oh! ...& on a professional note, Small Door was my client & they definitely don't pay their bills on time. The difference is I didn't cut off their services.
Apr 09, 2025 · Brand van ZylAll the doctors and nurses are excellent! You will not regret joining the small door family, because your pet will be in the best of hands! And did I mention their absolutely stunning and spotless facility, with delicious coffee?
Nov 17, 2024 · Shelly LuanThere are not enough stars on google’s scale to represent how highly we value small door - the team here is absolutely incredible. They not only love every animal that comes through the door, but also are so caring and understanding with anxious pet parents. We have been members for years and love the wellness care, but recently had to visit for more acute emergency reasons. The team was incredible; everything was explained in detail, we discussed lots of options, and cost implications of each. We left very happy with our treatment plan. Small door made a scary experience very easy. The 24/7 tele health is a lifesaver; the nurses stayed with us on the app every step of the way to help monitor progress and get us out of the woods.
