Mass-RI Veterinary ER Reviews
I brought my dog in a couple weeks ago with a bite wound. Initially, the secretary told me their first opening was at 6pm (it was 3:45 at the time.) I was a little panicky bc I didn’t want the wound to get dirty. I asked if someone could clean her up in the meantime and initially the secretary said they wouldn’t be able to until 6. I was a little frustrated and shared my concern that I had quickly bandaged her up and didn’t think the bandage would hold for another 2 hours and if anything, was hoping someone could temporarily bandage her up. At this point the other secretary offered to get a vet tech. I’m really glad I pushed for this because the vet tech came out and looked at her wound and brought her right to the back to shave the area down and clean her up. The vet tech offered to keep her in the back until the vet was able to see her at 6. The vet was very thorough when explaining the damage to me. They were concerned about a possible air pocket and told me what to look out for. They also sent me home with printed information so I could educate myself which was super helpful. Naturally, like the paranoid pet parent I am, I called daily to make sure what I was seeing was normal. The techs were always so friendly and asked me questions about the wound site to make sure it was healing correctly. When I brought her in to get her tube out, they were super friendly, helpful and informative. Each time I brought her back for a check up (to get staples out, etc) the vet techs always knew who she was and treated her like she was their own. I am so grateful for the experience I had with them. (I didn’t want to add gruesome pictures of the wound so added a picture of the day she got her staples out!)
May 13, 2025 · Bethany GovernoWe had to bring our pup in thinking she might have broke her leg! Our first stop before this was East Bay Animal hospital but there was a 4 hour wait. Mass-RI vet was able to take us within the hour and we are very happy with the result of our visit and with the level of care our pup received. The tech at the front desk was kind and helpful, a very important first impression. Nola was seen right away with them explaining exactly what to expect while I waited. The vet was thorough, kind and patient.Every step and cost was explained to me, no hidden fee's or surprises!10/10 would recommend to family and friends.
Jun 10, 2025 · Melissa MurphyExcellent and quick! I was surprised that I barely had to wait at all. The Dr. and staff were caring and knowledgeable. I brought my dog in for treatment for bite wounds from a groundhog she attacked. I was unsure of the extent of the injury as it was not apparent by looking at her. I called my own vet to make an appointment but they were all booked up and it was a Saturday. They suggested Mass-RI Veterinary ER and I was able to get an appointment right away and only waited in the waiting room for 5 minutes or so. They were able to shave her to see where the bites were and gave her antibiotics and a rabies booster. She's doing fine now. I'm just feeling sorry for the groundhog who was only trying to defend himself. The whole visit probably was about 20 minutes. I highly recommend!
Jun 03, 2025 · Abbie ChambersReally wanted to give a shout out to this vet. We came in with a pretty large cut on our dog very last minute & they were able to take us that same day, get the surgery done, & get our dog home all in a few hours. The visit was not that expensive considering what needed to be done, the staff was kind & responsive, & the place was super clean. I truly felt like she was in excellent hands & if we were to ever have an emergency again, I’d call this place first!
Jun 16, 2025 · Thomas Barrettit was a Saturday morning and my cat's primary Veterinary Clinic was not taking any emergencies so I was referred here. They took me within an hour and when I got there the assessment pretty much started right away. Now that might not always be the case as certain emergencies come up and have to be triaged accordingly as they do have postings explaining this. I was extremely pleased with the medical assistant and the doctors bedside manners. Both demonstrated professionalism. They were extremely thorough and even though I provided all past medical records from my primary clinic, they proceeded to contact them for additional information which further demonstrates how thorough they are. I left there with such peace of mind and I highly recommend them for all your emergency needs.
