When my dog was spayed, I was charged extra due to it being overweight, along with other unexpected fees. I believe the best practice would be to provide clear documentation outlining what the insurance covers, rather than leaving customers feeling misled. Without proof, they can say anything.
July 01 · Janice FungMade an appointment for a spay for my dog for May. I logged in to my banfield account to double check the date after I realized I hadn't gotten a confirmation call. There was no appointment listed. I called to inquire, the girl said she could see the appointment on my account but not on the schedule. She said she would have to have her supervisor look into it and call me back. This was 8 days ago. Two days passed, I called again and left a voicemail. Still no call back. Called twice a day on Thursday, Friday, Monday and today. No answer. I had to call the other Braintree location. They could not see any appointment and I had to make a new one. For the end of September because they are that booked out. This location messed up making the appointment for me, refused to take accountability, and refused to call me back about this. I now have to wait four more months for my dog to be spayed, when she will be over a year old at that point.Edit to add, I did try to reach out to the client care team last Thursday and never received a response from them either, just an automated thanks for contacting us one.
