Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
First time visiting Banfield with my new cat. Dr. Coyle and the employees were wonderful. They treated my cat with gentle hands and were very caring. I appreciate that they were transparent with cost prior to services. Dolly says thank you!!
Jan 24, 2025 · Lauren MaloneWonderful, caring vets and staff. They take the time to answer all my questions and listen to my concerns. They have taken care of him since he was a puppy; he's 14 now. My furbaby loves going there.
May 13, 2025 · KarynThis has been the worst veterinary experience we’ve had. We brought our cat in at 7 AM due to a serious eye issue — his eye was swollen and protruding. A few hours later, they called and told us to pick him up because they didn’t have a veterinarian who specializes in eyes. When we arrived to get him, they asked us to pay. I asked, “Pay for what?” — especially considering we had insurance. I asked if they had at least checked his eye. The answer? “No, we don’t have an eye specialist.”Then what exactly am I being charged for? They said they “did some tests” and “checked with eye drops.”But how can you possibly run eye tests without a qualified doctor, when you don’t even know what you’re looking at?Completely unprofessional, rude, uneducated staff — especially the front desk manager. All they care about is squeezing $50–$100 out of you for nothing.“Hello, your pet weighs this much. Great job. Here’s your bill. Bye.”That’s the whole experience. This is the most careless, irresponsible, and disrespectful clinic we’ve ever visited. Never again.

Nov 27, 2024 · RobinFebruary 23rd 2025,I joined Banfield around a year ago, for the plan THAT I THOUGHT, would be good, but think again..Banfield may be good for minor things, such as blood work and x-rays but when something is really wrong, I highly suggest taking your precious beloved animal to someone that you know is an experienced professional..My little cat Raquel lost 6 lbs and I kept bringing her to Banfield and telling them that my girl was very ill, that something was very wrong and that I needed her to have antibiotics..The only thing they addressed was the fact that they couldn't give her antibiotics because they couldn't see anything wrong and I would have to pay for blood work, since it was already done at the beginning of her plan...I would have paid for the blood work, but when they said, "she doesn't look like anything is wrong", I knew I would be wasting my money. So I took her to the Philadelphia Animal Hospital, to see doctor Rebecci, who is the best veterinarian in the area..As soon as Dr Rebecci laid eyes on my Raquel, he immediately said to the assistant, "She's dehydrated, I can tell by her skin. She needs antibiotic. I can see she has an infection in her rear. She needs blood work immediately. get a a liquid drip STAT"He checked over my my Raquel, gave her an antibiotic and a steroid for inflammation. He took her blood work and he even tested her for diabetes and kidney failure..The very next day Dr Rebecci called me on the phone and told me, her tests were negative for kidney failure and diabetes. From the moment I got home after seeing Dr Rebecci, I could immediately see that my cat was feeling better..Dr Rebecci saved my cat's life..I was very upset with Banfield, that I wasted my time going there. Also, they were not even alarmed, when they saw my cat, or even had the knowledge to test her for things. They weren't even alarmed that she lost so much weight in 4 months....I no longer am going to pay on my Banfield plan. I am done with Banfield. I will never go back..I am leaving this review so that you don't go through what I went through, so that your pet can stay alive..I am very upset that my cat was suffering for 4 months, until I decided to take her to the Philadelphia animal hospital and now that, is my go-to place..For anybody that might not live in Philadelphia, it is worth the trip to Philadelphia Animal Hospital.I highly recommend Dr Rebecci and his daughter Daria Rebecci. Please don't avoid Philadelphia Animal Hospital just because of distance because these professional doctors will save your pet's life..Avoid Banfield if you really love your pet..I do not like talking negative about any business but this is something I feel I had to do because my cat almost died, under the care of the Banfield doctors..Janine Caltabiano
