Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
We brought our dog in for a small rash and found out he has heartworms (nothing to do with the rash- they offered the test and we did it). This is where the nightmare began, they were more concerned about selling us a wellness plan, then explaining our treatment options thoroughly and correctly. We ended up purchasing the plan mid visit and they went ahead and did some services that day. When we were leaving and we’re told he can’t use some of the services since he has heart worms we tried to cancel it, but then we would’ve had to pay for the services used. We were in complete shock about the heart worm diagnoses and left completely confused and ripped off. We ended up finding another vet to care for our baby, but had to pay the $80/mo for the wellness plan for a year. When we went to cancel, we could not reach Banfield over the phone so went to the office to try to cancel it. Tamara A SHIFT LEAD was extremely rude and even argued with me. I left in total shock. Compassion is such an important part of vet care and Banfield lacks this unless they are selling you a wellness plan.
May 19, 2025 · Rachel WhoI love banfield pet hospital. I love all the people there there like family I've been going there for many years with my boys fred and barney thanks for all you do . I miss my boy fred they had to put him down
Jul 02, 2025 · Gerald SimonsThey went above and beyond anything I expected. They were compassionate and was able to provide the services that were needed within the available budget I had. All that with a caring attitude and a smile.
Jul 21, 2025 · Ralph DiazAgain, not my normal Banfield location but like PetSmart itself, they were 100% better. The staff was great and friendly from the start. We will most likely be making the extra drive to see them for all other appointments.
Jun 28, 2025 · Heather BlairI have been a Banfield member for over eight years, and throughout that time, all four of my dogs have been patients of Dr. Moore and her dedicated staff. I cannot say enough positive things about the incredible people who work at this clinic. They are kind, empathetic, and genuinely care for their patients. Their compassion and professionalism deserve more than a five-star rating—if I could give them 10+ stars, I would. I have deep appreciation for the veterinary technicians and Dr. Moore for the unwavering support, both emotional and medical, they have provided me through many stressful and vulnerable moments. However, my two-star review reflects the policies and operational decisions enforced by Banfield as a corporation, which have significantly impacted the quality of care—not due to the staff, but despite their best efforts. Over the years, it has become increasingly clear that the clinic is overworked and overwhelmed, and as a result, the personalized care that initially convinced me to enroll in the wellness program has deteriorated. When I first joined, I could schedule in-room visits on weekends—morning or evening. I would receive follow-up calls after every visit to check on my pet’s progress. One-on-one conversations with Dr. Moore and the staff helped me better understand my dog's health. Walk-ins were common and accessible. This level of care made me feel confident entrusting all of my pets to Banfield.Unfortunately, the decline has been frustrating and disheartening. Now, in-room appointments require weeks of advanced planning. Follow-up calls are rare. Walk-ins are nearly impossible, forcing me to seek care at other clinics just so my pet can be seen.Just yesterday, my dog experienced shortness of breath and a persistent cough. Dr. Moore was able to examine her and recommended an emergency visit. I followed her advice, and today, I’ve been trying to reach her to discuss the next steps for my dog’s care. I’ve called three times, only to be told that she is overwhelmed with multiple cases. While I understand the urgency of veterinary emergencies and do not blame the staff, my dog is important to me. After eight years of loyalty to Banfield, at one of the most vulnerable moments—facing the first steps of saying goodbye to my pet—I find myself reflecting on how far the standard of care has fallen. This is corporate greed at its worst—overworking and exploiting an outstanding team of veterinarians and technicians to the point where they cannot provide the level of care they once did. The only reason I remain in the Banfield program is because I trust Dr. Moore and her staff. However, Banfield’s policies and management are deeply disappointing and blatantly profit-driven.Banfield, do better—for your employees, your patients, and the loyal clients who have placed their trust in you.
