★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been taking my dog here for the last 6 years. I have a very very "spicy dog" which they are well aware of. Today I went in and they said in order to treat my dog they would have to give her sedatives before hand and I'd have to bring her back another day. For the past 5 years they've been able to do everything they needed to do with out medication. I can respect that they want to sedate her from now on since it is a new vet. My issue is if you had her chart notes and all her warnings and such, why didn't you say anything when I made the appointment a month ago. Why have me bring her in just to be turned away. If it was her first time going to this vet I could understand, but not when you have her chart notes! I will not be returning horrible experience, nor is this the first time I've had issues with scheduling and such.
July 28 · Rachael BrongerUnder new ownership. Such a scam process now. I tried to get my dogs meds as a prescription and the assistant told me no because they have beef with chewy 😂 and they want me to use THEIR online pharmacy. Then told me how chewy does their process “illegally” . If it was illegal practices chewy would be shut down. The lying was insane to me to get a sale. Then they forgot about me in the room…never coming back.
August 21 · Alyson PulleyI’m thankful that I still have my vet in puyallup and since I work in that area it’s easy to bring my pets there for check ups etc as I will never bring my pets to Belletowne Vet again. Horribly over priced!About a month or so ago, my hubby took our pup in to get his six month, for check up, rabies, deworming etc it cost over $600. Comparison, took my friends pup in for their six month, for check up, rabies, deworming etc(same everything), cost $140, and they did NOT charge for the deworming.I’m not ok with their gross over charge and I will NEVER bring my pets back to this clinic because of their high prices. If you’re ok with traveling I suggest you shop around and compare pricing at other vets.
April 13 · Lisa IrvineI've been taking my dog to Belltowne for years, and every year seems to get worse. Constant changes in vets, scheduling, and policy. The people they are hiring get more and more unfriendly. My dog has been terrified of Belltowne ever since his neuter surgery there in 2021. He's totally fine until we pull into the parking lot at Belltowne, and then, all of a sudden, he turns into a giant shaking ball of anxiety and tries to run out the door. Beside all of that, as of recently, they suddenly refuse to authorize prescription orders from outside sources. I've been ordering from 1800PetMeds (because they offer coupon codes, which makes them more affordable than going through the vet) for over 10 years without issue. I recently ordered my dog's prescription, and after PetMeds made several attempts over 3 weeks to get an authorization, I had to call Belltowne to find out what was going on. The first time I called, I was told the doctor didn't authorize any more refills, and they would go ahead and take care of it. Later, they texted and said they would fill the prescription through their own pharmacy, which is not what I wanted them to do. I again tell them that I already ordered from PetMeds, and they are waiting for the authorization, which only requires a phone call on Belltowne's part. The receptionist at Belltowne then informs me that their policy has changed, and they will only provide written scripts that you must go pick up from them, otherwise they will gladly fill the prescription through their own pharmacy at a much higher price. Why was this change never mentioned before, and why didn't they mention it the first time I called? I was clearly lied to the first time I called. After I called again, they finally decided to call in the authorization but only authorized a 6 month refill when I have always ordered and had already ordered a 12-month refill. So then PetMeds had to cancel my 12-month refill order and switch it to a 6-month refill, which was more expensive per dose. I just spent over $800 at Belltowne so that I could get my dog's yearly supply of Heartgard, and now they want to withhold the full year of medication so that they can force me to spend even more money? How is this not wrong? There is very obviously an agenda at Belltowne.
March 30 · Nova S.My dog is very anxious, but this team is so kind and supportive that she immediately calms down. The prices are also really reasonable, and there have been times that I haven’t been charged for services that other vets will charge you for. 10/10 recommend
