What is worth choosing?
For Washington residents considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic, the decision comes down to understanding its specific role in pet care and whether it aligns with their needs. The reviews provided offer a clear look at both the benefits and potential frustrations of this model. The first review, from a pet owner who was referred by Tacoma Humane, highlights a key issue: the expectation of low cost versus the reality of the final bill. The lack of documentation for the shots given to a stray kitten is a significant concern regarding transparency and record-keeping, which are crucial for a pet's long-term health.
The second review further details the potential for unexpected costs and poor communication. The client's experience of an unexpected $103 charge for a booster shot, despite a prior understanding, is a major point of frustration. For someone on a fixed income who chose Vetco to save money, this unexpected expense is a serious issue. The feeling that going to a local, traditional vet would have been "cheaper by a large margin" in the long run speaks volumes about the importance of clear pricing and communication upfront.
Despite these negative experiences, the underlying purpose of Vetco is valid. For a pet owner who is well-informed about the exact shots their pet needs and who has a clear understanding of the pricing structure, Vetco can be a convenient and cost-effective solution for a specific purpose. However, the reviews clearly demonstrate that the lack of full-service exams and potential for miscommunication about bundled services or additional tests can lead to a feeling of being misled. The streamlined nature of the clinic, which is designed to be a feature, can also be a drawback when more detailed consultation or record-keeping is needed.
In conclusion, Vetco Vaccination Clinic is worth choosing if you are looking for a simple, quick, and affordable way to get routine vaccinations and microchipping for your healthy pet. The convenience of its location inside a Petco store and its focused services are definite pros. However, based on the provided reviews, it may not be the best choice for pet owners who require a full consultation, have complex health questions, or who are on a strict budget and need absolute clarity on costs before the visit. For these individuals, a traditional, full-service veterinarian who offers more comprehensive exams and documentation might be a better fit to avoid the frustrations of unexpected charges and communication gaps.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
rabies vaccinecost
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1More expensive than I was expecting. Tacoma Humane had recommended Vetco as a reasonably priced option. They gave my stray kitten 2 shots but said blood tests would be required for a complete battery of shots. Why? He was given a rabies shot and something else but I don’t know what the second shot was because NO Documentation was provided!
August 13 · Kristine ValenciaI got in right on time for my appointment. However I had to wait in line to get seen. Plus while checking in I was told that I was going to have to pay. I argued that. I was told on my initial appointment that I would not need to pay for anything on my return trip for boosters and one of the shots we delayed till the booster appointment. I paid because he told me the initial shots would not be effective without them. I signed the visit consent including statement "under protest". I used you all to save money. I'm on fixed income and $103 unexpected cost is huge. I've never had to return for boosters before that I can recall. I'm very unhappy. I would have gone to my local vet. It in the long run would have been cheaper for me by a large margin.
