★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Listen THEY CARE! They love animals they show SO MUCH COMPASSION! And so understanding of my situation they made me feel so comfortable even when in a panic ! Dr. Walia is such a great person and hired such a beautiful staff, my Cici had an C-Section done and she is doing so well. I seriously can’t express my gratitude
July 11 · Nastacia OsgoodThey took amazing care of my cat Sasuke when he broke his arm. They were compassionate, understanding, and patient. They observed him carefully after surgery, and even let us place a blanket from home with him. Thank you so much for your amazing work.
August 02 · Julie SmithWe went here for years and they took care of our kitties. They were very compassionate with our loss and seemed to really care. Fast forward a few years to Our Golden retriever who was putting on weight, didn't want play fetch anymore, his coat seemed dry and he was having some intestinal issues. He gets rude when we questioned him. Over $1000 two times within a year and we were never told he was anemic or he had a thyroid issue! One time our son took our boy in for more blood work and observed the Dr rude to his staff, and walk out of the clinic for the day when there were still appointments waiting. The staff made comments about it in front of our son so he knew there was some issue.Three appointments later I asked started asking more detailed questions (I've did some research) about it possibly being thyroid and he dismissed my concerns! Anytime I asked about his thinning coat seeing his tail he told me it was him biting at his tail area! He was NOT! He put on too much weight to reach it. He didn't update the chart with information he told us either! After finding another vet for a second opinion she took one look at him, did 2 tests and found a thyroid and liver issue! One months in and our boy is feeling SPRY AND LOST ALMOST 10 lbs! ❤️ I think it's time for Dr. Walia to Retire...😞The only way I can respond to the owners response is to do an edit on my original review. They are correct that we haven't been there since November and it was so I could get blood work because the original Bloodwork I requested from Them done six months previous showed that my dog was anemic. I mentioned this to the receptionist answered my call and Didn't seem concerned. I thought about this for quite some time and now that my dog has responded so well to I felt it was reasonable to make Know the type of care Our dog received.
July 23 · Debora MorrisAvoid all the bad reviews! And read my experience. My name is david and we just took our malamute in. He gave us the worse possible news after drawing blood (at the best possible price in town,) and we have to put our baby to rest. We've had her 13 beautiful years. I dont have kids and shes been my best friend for more then a decade. I'm compelled to write this message even in my hardest times because I was so hesitant on going here because there were poor reviews. He actually saved us alot of money in not doing unnecessary tests. He told us his honest opinion in everything. People are writing bad reviews because they want more sympathy, and I can relate. But my understanding is he is a dr. Who deals with grief im sure multiple times a week, so he has to be strong for him and his patients. He's been a vet for nearly 50 years in tacoma area. Thank you westgate for getting us in same day, and results same day at the best price in town. Your staff was so caring and generous, as we're you dr. To any future patients reading this you will pay double the price anywhere else or close to it. We will be taking our two other dogs here from here in out.
May 06 · chev chelliosWe went to see Dr Walia for Rocky’s vaccination and wellness check. Dr Walia is very kind and gave us clear explanation before giving Rocky the shots. He even gave us a heads up that the microchip needle is a large one so we can have our puppy prepared for it. After the vaccine and a thorough wellness check, he also gave us some useful advice on how to help puppy gain weight, and let us know anything to be aware of Rocky after his vaccination. Rocky and I had a really great experience with Dr Walia!
