Berkley Animal Hospital Reviews
For end of life care, Berkley Animal Hospital was amazing with helping us navigate our labs' final moments. They were the only vet nearby that could get us the fastest (our local vet told us a week). They provided a tasteful box to allow us to put him to rest at home, made us cards with his paw prints stamped on them as well as sent a sympathy card! They were compassionate and understanding even though we had never used their services before! There services were beyond appreciated 🥲
Jun 30, 2025 · Alexandra RobsonHands down the best vet we’ve ever had! The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating for each of our pets specific needs. (We have a very nervous and reactive dog, and 2 bunnies who are nervous by nature.) The staff are sensitive to each individual animal and they do what’s best for them. They even have a separate, private waiting room for scared or special needs pets. We went to many vets that were just okay (some terrible) before finding Berkley and I’m so happy we did! So are our pets!
Nov 01, 2024 · Kathleen Fortunate** UPDATE** 5/27/27 - Berkley Animal Hospital refused to see my critically ill guinea pig because of my negative Google review. It appears this clinic is deliberately preventing their staff from sending me my pet's patient records which under law they are required to do. The Office Manager claims that the hospital left a detailed voicemail message explaining the decision and mailed my guinea pig's patient records. I checked, there was NO voicemail. I requested that all records be emailed to me for quicker access. NO such email was sent. Berkley Animal Hospital abuses their position in small exotic veterinary services market. This is so disgusting and completely unethical.OLD REVIEW: Be prepared to wait at least half an hour to see a vet after check in, and to wait another half hour to pick up your prescription and pay. Also there is a 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. What’s the most frustrating is that this clinic charges $80 per exotic vet visit and for each follow up which lasts less than 5 mins of speaking with the vet. Plus they refuse to work with external vendors that offer the same prescription for half the price. I’ve followed up more than 4 times post visit to request a script and still have not received it. The only service they will provide for free is at the vet visit, if you have any questions or concerns about your doctor’s notes/script, you will have to pay for another vet visit. Absolutely do not recommend unless you have no other options
May 27, 2025 · Sarah KimThese guys tried to charge me ~$860 via an estimate, I literally just needed a checkup and rabies shot for my 3 year old indoor cat but they added +$700 in additional stuff. Yes, it’s just an estimate but that seems incredibly gross, for lack of a better word. Going to the vet should not feel like going to a used car dealership in my opinion. Definitely will not be going back here.
May 07, 2025 · sabath rodriguezNew customers- I just called about making an appointment for our rabbit. Just a nail trimming. It’s $70 (non-refundable) just to make a profile or be a client. Then, it’s another $85 (non-refundable) to schedule an appointment. That $85 will be used towards your appointments cost. HOWEVER, they refuse to give you ANY estimate for what the appointment will cost. Is the first appointment considered a wellness-check then? I don’t know. What will be done? Not sure. The nail trimming or ear checking/cleaning is apparently “extra” and will be in addition to the cost of the appointment, all of which they refuse to give an estimate for. You have to pay the $70 (non-refundable) to be sent an estimate sheet of the costs. NO THANK YOU!
