★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I want to share my sincerest thank you to the staff members at BluePearl Pet Hospital. My family and I had to make the toughest and most gut wrenching decision to put our baby girl to rest Sunday in the middle of the night. We had a long night of traveling from Wausau, WI at 2:00am and could not have asked for a more comforting, peaceful environment to spend our final moments with our girl. The staff expressed their genuine condolences and there was no question that they had a great amount of empathy. They allowed us however much time we needed with her before continuing with euthanasia. The doctor sat with us on the floor while we said our goodbyes to our girl, and explained every step of the process. Her kind words really helped all of us make it through the night. During the process, she allowed us to have our time grieving and we were able to spend time with our sweet girl after for however long we needed. The staff and environment at this hospital made the most painful, most heartbreaking night in our lives into something very special for our last moments until she took her last breath. From the bottom of mine and my family’s heart, thank you so much for being patient, empathetic, and caring. I’m sure our Flicka would've said the same things if she was able to talk. 🤍
May 13 · JennI would like to express my families sincerest thank you for taking care of our precious little girl Hazel. Hazel was nearly 16 and had a very good life. We had to rush from just north of Green Bay to get her to see the doctor after having suffered a seizure. We were given options and everything was explained thoroughly. We were allowed to contact every member of our family unit (Some live outside of the country) to discuss our options. We had to make the heart wrenching decision to let our little girl go. We were given all the necessary time we needed to spend with her to let her know how much we all love her, and that we will see her soon. The doctor and staff were very empathetic. Hazel had a tendency to get anxious. I am forever grateful that I was allowed to hold our sweet little girl until the end. It was a very peaceful process. Doesn’t make it hurt any less, but I am so thankful that she did not have to suffer anymore. Thank you for all your support during an almost unbearable process.
May 25 · Lynne. On 8/14 my dog ate a corn cob. I took him to my vet on 8/15. My vet was going to do surgery to remove a piece from his stomach but didn't because his platelet count was low. So she called here & spoke to a doctor about removing it with a scope. They told her they would be able to do it. My vet sent all his labs & x-rays ahead of time. So we drove 2 hours to get there. First someone took our boy back to "take vital signs". About an hour later another tech took us back to a room to "get a history" after which we went back to the waiting room. We waited another 45 minutes to see the vet. She came in & without introducing herself just started telling us our options - telling us removing this with a scope is rarely successful. Whoever our vet talked to indicated they could do it or she would have never sent us here. When I asked this vet if she could tell how big the chunk was by looking at the X- ray, she said "I didn't look at the X-rays". What?? She recommended we just wait and see if he passes it. She then said if it becomes an obstruction then we'd need to do emergency surgery. We were so disappointed in her cold, non-caring attitude. Other than glancing at our dog, she never even touched him! The only person touching our dog was the first tech. We felt they didn't view this as an "emergency " & showed no empathy. I know there are many good reviews, but the vet we ended up with gets an F from us.Because of this I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. I rarely write reviews but I was seething on my 2 hour drive back home knowing I paid $192 for nothing! We spent 2½ hours here and saw the vet for 5 minutes max!Another note. My dog threw up some bile in the waiting room. I went to the front desk to tell them & without a word she set a roll of paper towel, disinfectant spray, and a waste basket on the desk for me to clean it up! Really?
August 17 · Donna SWe arrived to the Appleton location with our pup after calling to explain our situation and providing an ETA. Staff was waiting when we got there, ready to help us get checked in. Our pup was quickly taken for observation and vitals.Arriving quite late, we were fortunate to be one of only a few families there, so our wait time was not too bad at all.A doctor explained the treatment plan, explained a cost range, and explained the measures they had already taken to treat our pup seemed to be working well. We were sent home.We received a call shortly after 7 a.m. the following morning from a doctor to share an update about our pup. His response to treatment was going wonderfully, so he'd be discharged later that morning. We are thankful we recognized our dog had ingested something toxic, we are thankful for poison control and this vet hospital for talking us through our steps and appropriate treatment, and we are thankful we have our pup back home with us! Treatment cost isn't "cheap," but you get what you pay for. I believe we got quick and effective treatment that saved our pup from long-term effects or death, and I don't believe this clinic takes advantage of pet owners. I found their cost to be fair considering all they needed to administer and monitor. Our guy came home pretty tired from his mishap and unfamiliar night in ICU, but he's alive and well, and that's a great thing.
March 25 · Erin WierengaFrom the moment I called, to the receptionist when we arrived, to the vet tech who took our dog back, everyone was extremely nice and caring. My dog had eaten toxic food and needed to induce vomiting. I trust the triage to know when animals are in dire condition and am thankful that they knew time was important for toxicity and organ damage. I'm very grateful we have this option now that Green Bay no longer has any emergency vet services and I actually found the cost for the service extremely reasonable. I appreciate how quickly and efficiently they took care of our dog. What could have been a very devastating situation, ended up being a blip in our night and we took home a healthy (but tired) dog.
