★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My two senior English Bulldogs, Walter & Chandler, have been patients at Bond Vet LIC since they first opened, and the level of care they receive is consistently exceptional. From routine wellness visits to more complex medical needs (including procedures requiring sedation and anesthesia), the Bond Vet LIC team always takes the time to patiently explain diagnoses and treatment options thoroughly. They always allow me to feel informed and confident in every decision regarding Walter and Chandler's health, and they are incredibly responsive and easy to get in touch with. I recommend Bond Vet LIC to everyone I know because I'm confident that other pet parents will value and appreciate this clinic's trustworthiness and expertise the same way we do!
April 24 · M GMy cat was misdiagnosed in 2 visits to bond vet. I ended up taking him to the vet at the shelter I got him from (30 min uber ride away) who quickly diagnosed him with ringworm and was very surprised that bond vet did not do a simple woods lamp/black light check. They said the presentation of my cat was very common for ringworm, the opposite of what bond vet said. All the shelter employees were carrying the black light flashlights in their pockets for quick checks of cats. This set me back around $400 between the appointments and meds. I had even brought up ringworm to the vets and they told me all they could do was a $300 lab culture that takes weeks. The whole time you can shine a black light on them and get an assessment that can begin treatment. I initially liked bond vet a lot for the convenience of their website and the communication of their veterinarian, but I was disappointed in the actual diagnosis.
August 23 · EvanIf I could give this vet 10 stars, I would. After moving boroughs I relocated vets and the one I was using in Astoria was *okay* but I often had to wait weeks, if not months for an appointment. Recently I was told my cat would need dental surgery and was pushed to get her blood work done. Then a week later I tried to schedule her procedure and they said they were booked out for 2-3 months, wouldn't open the calendar for later, and were not able to perform the dental consult and procedure in the 3-4 weeks before I leave for 3 months of work out of town. Frustrated since they had pushed me to get the blood work done which expired in 3o days, I reached out to 5 other branches of that vet and still no luck. Plus requirement for more blood work and requirement for a heart & lung x-ray for a 5y/o cat to undergo the dental anesthesia.CUT TO: Out of frustration I contacted a number of other vets and immediately Bond Vet was a cut above the rest. I was able to get a phone consult within 2 days, spoke to an incredibly kind intake woman (Dawn) who gave me expectations and quotes, and agreed that the x-ray was excessive. I had a an in person consult at the LIC office within one week, and the dental procedure was done the following week. This means that I could even monitor my cat's aftercare before leaving for work. Their LIC office is bright, clean, and gives the vibe of a cute WeWork. There's even a corner for cats to go so that dogs can be kept away from them in the waiting room. Treats all around, even for people. And when you have to pay for a big procedure, it does help to have a candy at the front desk. Regarding payment, I was quoted on the phone, during the consult, and then it ended up being less because my cat has less diseased teeth than originally expected. My first visit, the nurses let my cat in a room very early because she was crying and obviously very nervous. All the nurses have been super warm and friendly, and the front desk woman is helpful, kind, and it doesn't feel like she's rushing you out the door. Every person in this facility acts like you're a valued family member, and not a human credit card. During the procedure itself, I was texted all day with updates about how my cat was doing, and the outpatient instructions and follow up were seriously better than some of the care I've received as a human in a hospital. Emailed, and printed, and gone over verbally before we left. All the nurses and Dr. McGuire repeatedly ask if you have questions. They seem to genuinely love their job, and do what's best for their furry patients while keeping their human parent's informed and managing expectations for pricing and care. Without a doubt, my previous vet has lost a patient, and Bond has secured a customer for life. Even if I move again I will remain loyal this location after receiving such excellent care.
May 17 · Kelsey Lynn StokesThe office is super clean (aesthetically pleasing too!) and the staff is always kind, caring, and helpful. So glad that we chose this vet for our fur baby Jupiter.
April 08 · Shannon CanlonMy dogs been going to Bond Vet for a while now, but first time to this location since moving to the area. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and quick to help they were with me and my pup when I came in with an emergency. Dr. Krieger was very competent and made sure my pup was taken care of. She even reached out later in the day to check in on how pup was doing. Thanks team!
