★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went in on Tuesday the Vet cleaned my Dogs ears and said she had an infection. She needed ear drops. We didn't get any. When we called back the Vet could not remember that they had been cleaned and the receptionist said her appt was only for a heartworm check and they didn't check her ears. They wanted me to set another appointment to look at them. I could understand if they hadn't already looked at them. We live 40 minutes away. It is not only inconvenient, but how can you not remember cleaning black goo out of a dog's ears. We are going somewhere else.
April 25 · Tamela Vander ArkReally helped out when my dog needed medication. They have always been helpful and are alway kind to the animals I have brought in. They have an abundance of compassion for the care and well being of these animals, by far the first place I’d go if any of them get sick. Very kind ppl
April 30 · Eleasha BakerUsed the Todd's for years while living in Reed City. They are excellent vets and give quality care. Bonus is they offer large animal services.
April 04 · Patty FasbenderWe've been going to this vet for years... We had to make a tough decision to put our cat down because he was really sick. This was our first time putting down one of our pets. We decided to go with cremation so we could get his ashes back and have a proper burial with our kids. I noticed they offered a clay paw print from your pet... our cat's paws were very unique, he had "mitten paws". My husband was having a very difficult time saying goodbye to his best friend. So, I made the choice to get the clay paw print to surprise him... I knew it would bring some kind of comfort to him. My husband went to go pick up our cats remains. They gave us back his ashes, but they didn't have a paw print (which we paid for) there was a mistake on the paperwork. I guess whoever filled it out didn't check it off, but the price was added on the side next to it.We were quite shocked when we were told they never got a paw print. I know it might seem silly to some to be upset over it. But that option is added to bring comfort to the family and a reminder of your animal. It made us feel as if our pet wasn't important. That there was a rush that they just shuffled his paperwork (of death) and didn't bother to look it over to make sure everything was right before sending it off.I understand everyone makes mistakes; I was also told that was the first time this has ever happened. The staff definitely felt bad and gave us our money back for the clay paw print. I write this review, to be a reminder... to please have someone check over all paperwork regarding an animal's death before it's sent away. Because there's no going back and I really don't want another family to ever feel the way we did.
May 05 · MARII had a concerning experience with Country Veterinary Services regarding a spay procedure for my adopted dog. Her paperwork from Lake County Animal Control stated that she had been spayed at this clinic, but a few weeks later, she unexpectedly went into heat. Wanting to confirm her status, I consulted another veterinarian who determined that she was still intact and had a full uterus.I reached out to Country Veterinary Services to ask for clarification. They told me that when they performed the procedure, they did not find a uterus, so they closed her up and documented her as spayed. However, there was no note on the paperwork indicating any complications or uncertainty. When I explained the situation and asked if they could help resolve the issue, I was informed that I would need to pay the full price for another procedure, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed.I ultimately had her spayed at another veterinary clinic, where I received excellent care at a much more reasonable price and had better customer service. That clinic noted that the previous incision did not appear to go beyond the muscle layer, which raised further questions for me about what really happened during the first spay.I’m sharing my experience so that others can make informed decisions when choosing veterinary care for their pets. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that others have had more positive experiences.
