July 08 · Brittaney BogardusAbsolutely disgusted by the mannerism of Mr. Davenport (does not deserve to be called a vet). I called for an emergency due to a horse colic. The first thing out of his mouth was “well for you it will be 1,000 just to come out, and he was pissed off.” This is after I tried to explain that I was informed by an employee where my horse is boarded, that another vet who happened to be there prior said I needed to call MY vet (aka Davenport). Not once did the other vet treat my horse, only recommend to have her seen and my horse was given banamine from another boarder till I could get MY vet out. However before I could explain all I knew, Davenport made it clear he was “PISSED OFF”. To talk to a client like that is extremely disappointing, but it’s obvious this man doesn’t care! Davenport’s lack of professionalism and lack of compassion for the animals he took a medical oath to care for truly showed tonight!! Don’t be on call, if you don’t want to actually respond to calls and just want to throw a hissy fit over another Vet recommending someone calls their Vet out!!

Very emotional for us and they were very compassionate. They were gentle and gave her gentle touch through the process. There are so few equine vets around and it's a bonus to have one that is so loving and kind.
September 22 · Linda BalchenI was camping 5 hours from home and called for a equine emergency. I got a answering machine that gave another number for emergencies. I left a message on that recording also and never received a call back. I was able to.get ahold of my vet who instructed us on how to render aid. Scares me to travel in the future unless the site has a on call vet listed. Might be a suggestion to this vet... could possibly be a financial suggestion. I was willing to pay...my horse is my priority.
