Dayton South Veterinary Clinic Reviews
i brought in my 3 year old guinea pig who was showing pain. The Dr did a xray and found that he had 2 kidney stones. i was heartbroken because i’ve never lost a pet before and i considered this little man my son and would do absolutely anything for him. They gave me some pain medicine to help him and we scheduled his surgery the next morning. My boy had to fast overnight and couldn’t eat anything after midnight. i noticed in the morning he didn’t have any bowel movement at all and i rushed in the next morning right as they opened and told the receptionist that he didn’t use the restroom at all last-night even after i gave him his dinner veggie meal that night around 8. The receptionist im assuming didn’t let the Dr know because jerry didn’t get his surgery done until 2pm that day. I wish they would’ve seen him sooner knowing that information because if the Dr knew she would’ve preformed right away since there was a blockage but instead he was getting sicker and sicker as the day went on. i got a call from the receptionist that the surgery was successful and to pick him up at 5. i was so happy my boy made it and told everyone that he’s a tough little guy. i then received a phone call not even a hour later from the Dr saying that he didn’t end up making it and that he passed away. i just wish things were done differently because i hate that his last moments of life was him sitting in a vet cage in pain all day :(
Jul 22, 2024 · Kylie FishbackFor our cat, they charged $268.50 for the first appointment and shots. Second set of shots was $81.65 and we were told they would call us with the price of being spade. When they finally called, they said it would be $662 to have her spade. This is outrageous pricing and we're going someplace else. $1000 dollars for shots and spade? who can afford that?
Jul 03, 2025 · Aaron AndersonI had a confirmation call for my cats booster shot due Monday appointment. I asked how much? And was given, I don’t know. I said, that’s fine, I can’t come in if I don’t have a price. Long story short, never got a price. I called cancel and while they were explaining when my two cats can get vaccinated I explained I will not be coming in for a lack of transparency. The girl was like cool!! lol. You’re only as good as the people that work for you. Tractor Supply and many other places have reasonable prices and probably better customer service.
Mar 07, 2025 · Lisa JacobsI called to inquire about getting my rabbit spayed. I was looking to get an estimated price or price range so I could compare with other vets. I was told I would need to bring her in for a $75 visit and only then would the vet tell me how much the procedure costs. Clearly more interested in my wallet than my pet. Obviously I’m looking for another option.
Apr 28, 2025 · Mary WallEdit:They'll never tell you the cost of neutering a rabbit, so I will. It's $180 for the "required" visit an additional $60 for the "required" testing and then the surgery is $575 total. Oh, and the only "approved" food? The only place to find it is there, and its astronomical.Don't waste your money! They'll go out of their way to make you spend the absolute most amount of money possible and they won't tell you vital information unless you go through over priced testing and exams, its like trying to get info from a shyster who has to be bribed for every bit of information.there's better, there's cheaper and the vet was miserable to my wife and 5yo son.no matter what the problem is, the ONLY solution they will say is "acceptable" is the expensive option that can only be found at their location. Much in the same manner as a wellness influencer.
