Rita is a blessing to our furry friends, I am truly thankful for her. I have been coming to her for seven years and she is an amazing at what she does. She is truly passionate about treating animals and will always take your call. When I had my older dog, she was always very accommodating with appointments. She is a godsend and is truly invaluable if you are a pet owner. She also helped me take care of my grandfather‘s dog, who was elderly, when the time came to put him down they sent back his ashes in the most respectful way and they also included a paw print fossils and sympathy card. Thank you Rita & Staff❤️
Dec 06, 2024 · Jessica DeLaneWe are first time dog owners, and we brought our 4.5 month old, 6LB, miniature dachshund puppy here for his first vet visit after getting him.The visit itself was fine, but they were incredibly generous with the amount of shots they gave him and pushed extra ones to save us the trip - which at the time I thought was fine, and they told us “he would be fine, just tired.”For the past 4 months, the pup has had incredibly dry skin - to the point that he scratches it raw. We go to a new vet now simply because of the fact it’s closer to our home, and they have been trying to help us figure out what is wrong with his skin. After nearly $1K worth of testing, they found out that the original vet administered the amount of vaccine for a GREAT DANE.We are incredibly disappointed in the fact that this experience was so cavalier and unexplained to us. Would highly recommend going in with hesitance, asking questions during the appointment, and giving approval before the vet administers any vaccinations to your pup.
Mar 26, 2025 · Abby FreemanFor me, Dr. Rita Rivera is not just a veterinarian. She is the best I have ever met. She has a human heart and cares about animals, taking care of them as if they were her children. For me, she is the best. I highly recommend her.
Apr 02, 2025 · Eliana EspindolaDr. Rita Rivero is the best veterinarian in Bergen County. My family and I have had the honor of knowing her as she cared for our just shy of 16 year old Wheaton Terrier. From the time Jersey was 5 months old until her passing 3 weeks ago, Dr Rivero has been an incredibly caring and knowledgeable person. She is the only veterinarian that Jersey ever saw and we wouldn’t have it any other way. So Blessed to have had her care for Jersey even at the most difficult time in the end. All our thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at Demarest Veterinarian. ♥️
