★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dunstan is a really nice animal clinic. My cat has pretty severe allergies and had been taken to 3-4 vets previously, all of which pretty much told us to take her to MSU and pay a ton of money to have testing done. Dunstan recommended a med the first time we brought her there and it worked right away. It definitely feels like they really care about your animals. I highly recommend bringing your pets here.
May 13 · Isaac BlenmanOur 1st visit was the best we have ever experienced in all of our 5 dogs. Dr. Dunstan and both of his assistants did the complete visit, exam, and vaccination sitting on the floor at Willy's level. Other than the little yelp when he got the vaccination, Willy felt like he had new friends just playing and loving on him. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dunstan Animal Care Clinic for your fur babies and other pets!
August 03 · Carol Sue CookIf I could give a -5….I would!I had been going to this Vet for a few years. I have two small dogs that are 4 and one almost 9. The 9 year old just was diagnosed with melanoma, (which is terminal!) by the so called vet! I would have praised him a couple months ago, however when you care more about the finances of what is coming in and not the actual care of our pets! My two dogs mean the world to me! She still has no pain medication, melanoma is VERY painful in their paws( in the right one), and has begun to move to her other organs. My main concern, was she is comfortable in the end, the vet gave me a powder, gave her allergy shot and was sent home. No pain med!!!This office staff, except Chelsea at the front desk is a joke! You can’t get a straight answer from nobody, Harmony, Lisa, Alicia, Marcella, but once you question what they are saying or what the recording stated(and they will not let you hear the recording), they tell you to leave the Practice!! I was waiting for the main office manager to call me (since the so called vet won’t), on the 2nd day I called in for her, I got Marcella again. She told me that I had called in everyday(which was a lie and I called her on it), she changed her tune. She just stated that I have my records now, if I call their office again they would file Harrasment charges against me!!! I was forced out of this practice by employees!! I had a dog that was dying, a vet that had not given her any pain meds but 3 other pills that had no paperwork at all! I am now running out of the water pill, that is helping her to somewhat breathe! The powder made her extremely sick! The other pill is her allergy pill??? I couldn’t get her in until May 1st with a new vet. Dr Dunstan and the staff that kicked me out will be held accountable for her death if she doesn’t make it to the new Dr. He should NEVER see another animal again!!I think Mr. Dunstan or Dr. Dunstan should consider closing, because charging such high rates(what the vet says in exam room is totally different than what is on his actual detailed office notes…but he can listen to the recordings in those rooms too). Not all the time, but his Staff seem to know more, not being in the exam room and they put items in your check out bag with meds the Dr. gave you for your dying dog?!?! Who is the Vet?? Then after you realize you bought it in error when you get home, can’t return the office staff blames you and I question my dog taking it with the 4 new meds, one she got sick from…. Remind them, I have no paperwork so don’t know if the vet would approve? They told me not to give to my dog. Just keep it, can’t bring it back!I tried contacting the Dr., he won’t deal with you I was told! You leave a message for the top manager, they won’t call you back either! I have given them almost $800 dollars in less than a month for my dog! 3 of the new meds had NO PAPERWORK with them! No warnings, nothing! I got a powder that I put on the foot that was painful for my pup! She wined, and I put a sock on that foot. I guess I shouldn’t have called in, because now they are complaining about my calls! (I guess Marcella doesn’t feel that is part of the job)? She got sick the next day! Her breathing got really bad, I did schedule an appointment but had to cancel it! I was charge $50 for same day appointment, I never got that refunded either! My dog wouldn’t have gotten sick if I would have had better instructions!!! Found out later, a couple days later that it was the powder. 😔. I was Angry!!! I wanted my pup to have a peaceful end of life….not this! They have made it the most miserable time EVER!!!!Go elsewhere! You won’t regret it!Read these other post as well! You will see the same is going on with other owners! You also get recorded and video taped once you walk in that build until you leave! Also on the phone! You don’t get to listen to it!My pup is still holding on! Praying she makes it 7 more days……I’m trying to do the best I can. I have cut the water pills down. I have no choice. 😭
April 24 · Dog MomBrought pet in to be put to sleep. I knew the price we were going to be charged. We asked a question about our pet so tech girl went out of room and not sure what she said but Dunstan came in started doing an exam and trying to feed her. We were confused and we told him before he even opened the can of food to NOT open. That we’re putting her to sleep either way. She was nearly 21 for a cat and went down hill. He continued to open the food. Anyway tech girl has the card charger and it went from $99 to $150! I questioned the price. Tech girl says it’s for the examination. I said to her that I never asked for one. We brought her here to have put to sleep. The question we asked at the beginning was “is that normal for kitty to purr when she’s sick, not feeling well?” Asking that question caused an extra $50!Tech girl always had to go out of the room as do all the others they have to call Dunstans wife for permission to do anything. Anyway tech girl said Kelly said to just pay it. The $150 and she would call me at home to talk. So I agreed, I wasn’t going to stay there and cause problems. Well Kelly never called. I had called Dunstans several times to talk to Kelly. Well Kelly is never there. She does everything from home. Girls in office always said to me that they talked to Kelly and she will call me. Never happened. Almost a MONTH later we decided to go to the office and ask to talk to Dr.Dunstan. Nope… girls always calls Kelly and she says no. We can’t talk to Dr.Dunstan. So we asked to speak to Kelly his wife. Nope she wouldn’t talk to us. She told the girls to tell us that she will call us at home. I replied back are you sure? This has been going on for nearly a month now and she doesn’t call us. Sure enough we got home and about 20 minutes later she called. She was rude right from the get go. Started accusing me & my husband for causing a problem in their office. That was a complete lie!! We set on their bench actually talking to another client with her cute pup. Never ever did we cause problems. She said that she watched us on CAMERAS LOL. I replied back well I’m glad you have cameras but you’re wrong and I called her out asking to see her so called bs! Mind you… this is all about wanting my $50 bucks back because apparently their tech girl misunderstood or who knows what she said. I know her name but I’m not going to share it. I said to Kelly after her complete rudeness and being so disrespectful and lies I’m done. She replied yep you’re done as of now. Wouldn’t let me have access to get all my pets information. Wouldn’t allow me in the building to get anything. She said she will call the cops! Dr. Dunstan has his hands full. I wish him nothing but the best. We have been with him right from the time they moved on Sternberg. I recommended him to many people. Quite a few of them have left for their own personal reasons. This happened a few years ago. I’ve always stayed quiet. But looking through many reviews seems many have had a similar issue.Best of luck to Dr. Dunstan.
June 03 · Susan KayI have never encountered a vet who loves my dog as much as I do. He sits on the floor and enjoys all the happy kisses my dog gives willingly. Dr Dunstan listens to concerns and takes my worries seriously. They are very proactive and it is easy to communicate with the office. Great place for your pet’s care!
