Foundation Equine Clinic Reviews
They deserve 100 stars. It is extremely difficult to get a vet out to my area. Even though I'm outside of the area they serve, Dr. Hinson showed her incredible compassion and love for animals in making the drive all the way out to save my 34 year old horse's life during an impaction colic (in the middle of the night). We would have never been able to stabilize him enough to get him off to NC State for surgery if she hadn't made the sacrifice to come for my horse. It was not looking good and all hope seemed to be lost, but she didn't give up on my old boy. Not only did she try everything she could to get him comfortable enough for the trip and miraculously back up on his feet, she also waited probably an hour or more with us until the horse trailer arrived. I've owned him for 21 years, and cannot thank her enough as the reason I still have him with me.I found myself in another terrifying emergency situation last night, and their on-call vet Dr. Cameron was gracious enough to be ready to come out... again, even though we're so far away and not technically in the area they serve. You can tell with these professionals, they truly see their work as a calling.
Dec 16, 2024 · Breanna GemmellVery clean looking and most definitely a place if I needed them I’d take my horse. Nice staff
Jun 11, 2025 · Bratt FurrDr. Kivett & Dr. Poole are both fabulous to work with. My horses love them & I couldn't be happier with Foundation Equine
Nov 30, 2020 · ChellesThis vet practice deserves nothing LESS THAN A 10 STAR review. They have always been there when my equines needed ANYTHING at all. So knowledgeable and always armed with the latest technology and tools AND scientific research. If the Army didn’t move me away from the area, I would still use their practice. I miss their team very much. It’s so difficult to find an EXCELLENT vet practice who is not only competent and knowledgeable BUT compassionate about what they do.Dr. Lisa and Kelly were always in sync with one another and everything always went great without any glitches. When I retire, I am contemplating on moving back there JUST because of them. If that doesn’t speak volumes about the practice then I don’t know what does.Choose their practice- you and your animals will be in great hands. You will not regret it!Miss you all!
Jul 09, 2018 · Candice PirainoI've been impressed with Dr Kivett's knowledge, but also her care for a wide range of types of horses. She has a great set up with pretty much every diagnostic tool, and all of them are available in the field. I've also been impressed with her knowledge and passion for dentistry, after many years of vets who didn't care for doing teeth and as such gave me sub-par floats. Her experience with pet hospice and in-home euthanasia gives her an empathetic and gentle experience when it comes time to make end of life decisions
