★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Gateway City Animal Clinic is one of the best veterinary clinics in the area. Dr. Karmazin has taken care of my animals for over 29 years. He is one of the most caring people I know. When I take my animals in to see him he takes his time to look them over and gives them 100% of his attention. He always makes suggestions as to what I can do to make the situation more comfortable for them and educates me on all possible treatment options. To me that is an important attribute when I am looking for the best care for my animals. Thank you Dr. K! June 17 · Mary Mueller
- Dr. K and his staff are amazing. I saw him for the first time around July 2024, shortly after we adopted a dog. She had a severe UTI, and the vet we thought we were going to use couldn't see her until September. Dr. K had our dog in the office within a few days, and I have never looked back. I have seen him go to extremes for my co-workers who have seen him for years. I highly recommend them. June 17 · Leah Webber
- On Friday the 27th we knew we were going to have to let our Jinx go . He had been very sick for about 3 months and at one point made a recovery that we thought he might make it . But the illness he had ( could never get real diagnosis from our regular vet ) came back and very hard to were he wouldn't eat anything and was withering away. Called all over and couldn't find a place to take him , Gateway got us in right away to help. Dr. Karmazin and his staff were very empathetic and helped us cope cause we were a mess to say the least. We really appreciate everything you did for us and our boy Jinx especially . Came home from work on Monday and they sent us a very nice card as well. We really appreciate it. - In response to Carlos T Brown, you have no idea what protocol Vets have to go through to write prescriptions. Without a Vet check they just can’t prescribe medications. Plus if you haven’t seen a Vet in a year, no Vet should prescribe medications. If you find one, they need to be reported! Dr. Karmazin offers suggestions to help your dog and doesn’t pressure you, but tells you what would be best for your dog’s longevity in life without pain. It’s always YOUR decision. I’ve been going to him for 32 years and he’s right on track and really cheaper than most veterinary clinics. Get real, prices are going up with everything! He always tries to save you money and gives you choices to help your dog or animal to have the BEST health that they can. He’s an amazing and awesome Vet that goes out of his way to help his clients pets. It just looks to me that YOU don’t really care about your pet and get it the proper examinations. Wanting heartworm medicine before it’s been checked for heartworms, in which they can have even if giving the medication, is unheard of and totally wrong! Dr. Karmazin is totally correct in not authorizing it to you. You ROCK Dr. Karmazin!! Know that you are loved by many. June 17 · Pat Kasten
- Money hungry and greedy. I have chewy send a prescription for heartworm medicine and he would not approve until he examined my dog. He was due for his shots in 2 months but he refused to do so. The extra exam would have been added to the cost of his shots. Also my dog hurt his leg and the previous vet prescribed a pill to be given to him. Dr K wanted to add a shot that would have totalled $320 extra. GREEDY AND MONEY HU NGRY. Find another vet in the area June 13 · Carlos T Brown
