What is worth choosing? For pet owners in Oregon, selecting a veterinary care provider is a deeply personal and important decision. When considering Hovenden, Chris DVM, it is essential to weigh all available information. The clinic’s location on a main thoroughfare in Salem makes it easily reachable for residents across the city. The accessibility features are a clear benefit, ensuring that individuals with mobility challenges can bring their pets in for care without difficulty. The available reviews, while limited, express significant concerns regarding a required deposit and a highly negative outcome. A client shared a tragic experience, blaming the clinic for the death of their puppy, and stated that the clinic's policy of requiring a $150 deposit before an examination was unhelpful during a crisis. The reviewer also expressed feeling that the staff lacked compassion. These are very serious claims and are an integral part of the publicly available information. In the absence of other details, these reviews must be part of any decision-making process. As with any service provider, it is recommended that potential clients perform their own research, and perhaps even speak with the clinic directly to understand their policies, especially in emergency situations. The best choice is always an informed one, based on a full picture of the clinic's practices and public reputation. For those who choose to visit, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance to ensure a scheduled visit.
