Unfortunately I lost my fur baby Bear on 2-4-25, this clinic has the best vets, techs, staff. Everyone is amazing, kind, and care for your companions. I brought him to blue pearl about 3 weeks ago because his health declined rapidly, but they told me he was perfectly healthy and sent us off. We brought him straight in the next day here, and saw Dr.Morgan, she ran blood test, cbc, X-rays, but couldn’t see anything for certain out of the normal, only his white blood cells where higher and his red blood cells where low. They sent us with meds hoping it was just an infection, unfortunately it was not. We brought him in again and I don’t know the name of who we saw but she was awesome as well. She recommended an ultrasound and found that bear had a mass on his spleen. He needed urgent surgery, and I scraped everything I had together to get him the surgery, they got him in sooner than booked, but they found the mass was also wrapped around his liver and there just was nothing more they could do for him. Even over the phone call with Dr. Sandy, i felt his compassion and knew they only wanted the best for him. We had to make the horrible decision to put him to rest, but he was no longer in pain and i know he was cared deeply for in his last hours. Thank you everyone for helping my Bear while in pain and helping him go to the rainbow bridge. Long live Bear. - sage fulton

Indianola Veterinary Clinic Introduce

For decades, **Indianola Veterinary Clinic (IVC)** has served as a cornerstone of animal healthcare in Warren County and the broader Central Iowa region. Established in 1952 and proudly locally owned since then, IVC is a distinguished full-service **mixed animal practice**. This designation is incredibly important for Iowans, as it signifies a deep capability to care for the beloved companions (**Small Animals**) that share our homes, as well as the essential livestock (**Large Animal Services**) that are integral to our agricultural heritage. Located conveniently on N Jefferson Way, this clinic is recognized for blending comprehensive medical services with a compassionate, community-focused approach.

The clinic's mission goes beyond routine check-ups; they are equipped to handle complex health challenges, from advanced **Diagnostic Testing** and surgical procedures to specialized **Reproductive Medicine** and **Herd Health** management for agricultural clients. The team, including highly regarded professionals like Dr. Sandy and Dr. Morgan, is dedicated to providing thorough assessments and explaining treatment plans in detail. What is Worth Choosing Indianola Veterinary Clinic

For pet owners and farmers in Indianola and the surrounding areas, choosing Indianola Veterinary Clinic means investing in a practice that is truly ingrained in the fabric of Central Iowa. What makes IVC particularly worthwhile is its unique function as a comprehensive **mixed animal practice**. This is a rare and vital feature in many rural communities, allowing a single team of trusted veterinarians to manage the health of all animals under one roof—from a small family dog to a herd of cattle. The convenience of a **walk-in** policy for small animal needs is a major benefit in an emergency, ensuring pets get prompt attention without a long wait for an appointment slot.

However, the strongest testimonial to IVC is the human element: the **deep compassion** displayed by the staff. Customers frequently recount stories of the vets and technicians going above and beyond, providing critical, often life-saving, care and offering heartfelt emotional support during painful goodbyes. The detailed diagnostic efforts—including X-rays, blood work, and ultrasound—demonstrate a commitment to thorough, evidence-based care, ensuring that clients receive the most accurate diagnosis possible, even when the news is difficult. The ability to coordinate urgent and complex procedures, such as **Emergency Surgeries**, even under short notice, highlights their dedication to patient outcomes.

While occasional challenges with administrative processes or communication might arise, which is common in busy mixed-animal practices, the core medical and surgical expertise, coupled with the profound sense of care, remains the overriding reason for choosing IVC. When Iowa families entrust their animal companions, whether for routine **Vaccinations** or a complex **Reproductive Medicine** issue for their livestock, they are choosing a long-standing local institution where the veterinarians are deeply invested in the health and well-being of the entire Indianola community and its animal population.
