★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love Banfield Wilmington! One of my dogs is positive the only reason it exists is so all her friends can love on her. They are excellent and always so good to my pets (I've taken cats and dogs), they always remember them individually and shower them with love. They've seen me through a number of terrifying and heart wrenching situations and have always treated my family and pets like their own and I so truly appreciate it.They're handling of 2 of my pets passings is a story I tell regularly as they were so sweet and kind and gave me precious moments with my pets before saying goodbye.I can't say enough good about Banfield and the wellness plan has served me well for years
July 11 · Sarah GossettStar, our 14 year old cat had her annual wellness exam ( including dental cleaning ) on 04-25-25. She has been seen at Banfield of Wilmington NC since she was rescued at 4 1/2 weeks old. All of the staff from scheduling her appointment to check in & through the process was excellent. Although this has always been a very busy pet hospital…this team was adept, kind, very skilled & knowledgeable. They have a difficult job with sick & injured animals, so I am grateful for their services. She had a great 48 hour recovery, wasn’t hiding or complaining! Thank you so very much!
May 02 · barbara yorkAfter almost 8 years of service. Banfield employees and customer service supervisors refused to correct their administrative mistake which affected the health of my dog.I give them one star because after going through that fiasco with 5 different people, no one was able to see or understand what they did. Therefore I had to find another vet for my dog.
July 03 · Ronda BrittonAfter having more than one unpleasant encounter with Banfield I’ve decided to find another vet. My dog had undergone a hernia repair surgery and despite wearing his cone, he developed an infection - which isn’t the issue as things happen. I called and was told to come in at 4pm, so I arrive and was not brought back until 4:30pm (again not an issue, I understand the busy schedule) where I essentially was told I’m going to have to come back the next day because they are closing at 5pm and cannot look well enough into his infected incision. I was never once seen by the vet, only the vet tech who had no answers to any of the questions I asked other than, “I don’t know”. I was told there was dead tissue and a hole around his incision, yet I’m supposed to wait and come back the next day because you’re closing? I’m frustrated with the lack of answers/explanations from this institution and feel as if they care more about generating revenue and their closing hours. Unless your puppy just needs shots, I wouldn’t go here.
May 09 · Alyssa BoucherThis company is absolutely shady, unprofessional, and completely unethical. The plans they offer are ridiculous and misleading. Without my permission, they renewed and upgraded my wellness plan and started charging me for it, even though I had clearly told them I wanted the plan canceled. They completely ignored my request and went ahead with changes I never authorized. Then I suddenly receive a letter saying I owe $267 and have seven days to pay it before they send it to collections. That was the first notice I got — no previous letters, no warning, just a last-minute threat. When I called to try to figure out what was going on, their customer service was absolutely useless. They claimed they had mailed previous notices, which is a flat-out lie because I never received anything until this collections threat.I even asked if I could make small payments or work out a payment plan if they’d give me more time, and they flat-out refused. No flexibility, no help — just cold, robotic responses and zero accountability for their own mistake. And when I asked why I owed anything for a plan I didn’t authorize or want, they couldn’t give me a real answer. They just kept saying my plan was “upgraded and renewed” — something I never agreed to in the first place. This company doesn’t care about customers — they do whatever they want, lie about communication, and trap you with unauthorized charges and outrageous deadlines. I am beyond frustrated and disgusted. It feels like a scam, and I would strongly warn anyone thinking of doing business with them: don’t. You’ll end up fighting charges you never agreed to while they pretend they’re in the right. Avoid this company at all cos
