Back in August my 9 1/2 year old Staffordshire Terrier, urgently needed life saving emergency surgery. After calling countless Veterinarian ERs in the city, InstaVet quoted the most affordable price (by at least a few thousand dollars). Since I didn’t have the total amount to pay the whole bill up front they referred me to Care Credit which I was approved for in 5 minutes, I believe they also offer a InstaVet payment plan as well. Once we arrived they were able to get her in the operating room almost immediately. Mini literally went from being on her death bed to making a full recovery in a few weeks, energetic and back on her long walks around the city!Note that this is an urgent care facility that provides emergency services so there is no overnight stays for pets here. Also all follow up visits and medications were included in the total amount of the bill.Thank you to the diligence staff for saving my dog’s life! - Daghattan

When a pet is part of your family, their health and well-being are a top priority. For New Yorkers, having access to a reliable, professional, and compassionate veterinary service is non-negotiable, especially during unexpected health crises. InstaVet, located in Long Island City, provides a crucial service to pet owners across the city, combining the functionality of a traditional animal hospital with the convenience of a mobile veterinary practice. This dual-model approach ensures that pets receive the care they need, whether in their clinic or in the comfort of their own home.

InstaVet is more than just a regular vet's office; it's an urgent care facility designed to handle critical situations, as well as routine wellness needs. They stand out for their comprehensive approach to pet health, offering everything from emergency surgery to peaceful, in-home euthanasia services. This guide is crafted to help New York pet parents understand the full scope of InstaVet's offerings and why they have become a trusted name for both routine and emergency veterinary care in the five boroughs.

We will delve into their accessible Long Island City location, the wide range of services they provide, and the special features that make them a unique and valuable resource for the community. While a customer review brought up concerns about front desk communication, a separate review highlights their life-saving emergency services and financial flexibility, showcasing the wide range of experiences and the critical role they play in the local pet care ecosystem.

InstaVet is located at 44-16 23rd St, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA. The clinic's location in Queens makes it easily accessible for residents of Long Island City, as well as nearby neighborhoods like Astoria, Greenpoint, and Williamsburg. The facility is committed to accessibility, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. They also have a gender-neutral restroom, further demonstrating their dedication to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all clients.

While the clinic serves as a walk-in urgent care facility, appointments are recommended to ensure a more streamlined visit and minimize wait times. They are open from 8 am to 10 pm, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends, and holidays, providing a crucial safety net for pet owners when their regular vet is closed. This extended availability is a key feature, offering peace of mind that help is available when you need it most.

InstaVet offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services that spans from routine care to emergency interventions. InstaVet has several standout features that set them apart in the New York City pet care landscape. Features and highlights include:

  • Emergency and urgent care services with a walk-in option and no appointment needed for urgent needs. This is critical for pet parents during a crisis, as noted by a reviewer who was able to get life-saving surgery for their dog with almost no wait time.

  • Comprehensive end-of-life and hospice care, with the option for peaceful in-home euthanasia, allowing pets to pass away in a familiar and comfortable environment surrounded by their loved ones.
  • A wide range of services for both large and small animals, ensuring a broad spectrum of pet health needs can be met.
  • A physical location that is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all, including those with mobility challenges, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and restroom.
