My Pet's Vet Introduce
For pet owners throughout the Greater Milwaukee Metro Area, including communities like Glendale, Brown Deer, River Hills, and Fox Point, securing high-quality, personalized veterinary care for every member of the family—whether furry, scaly, or feathered—is a top priority. My Pet's Vet in Glendale, Wisconsin, stands out as an independent, veteran-owned animal hospital dedicated to providing an extraordinary combination of expertise, compassion, and advocacy for its patients and their families.
Founded on the principle that all family pets deserve quality care with thorough, unhurried appointments, My Pet's Vet was established by Dr. Ron Beatty, DVM. Dr. Beatty has a deep-seated love for animals, medicine, and surgery, having focused on exotic pets as well as cats and dogs during his studies at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. The clinic’s mission is a direct response to the corporatization of veterinary medicine, ensuring that clients and their pets receive ample time and attention in the exam room, where the focus is genuinely on patient welfare, not just profit.
Serving the greater Milwaukee area since 2005, My Pet's Vet provides comprehensive veterinary services for all types of family companions: dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, and other small mammals. This wide scope of practice, especially for exotic pets, is a notable highlight for Wisconsin pet owners with unique companions. Clients consistently praise the comfortable, relaxing atmosphere—a result of the business being fitted within a house—and the personalized touch of seeing the same veterinarian and technicians at every visit. This continuity of care is vital for long-term health management, particularly for aging pets with chronic conditions.
The care philosophy here is based on thorough evaluations, customized treatment protocols, and attentive follow-up, ensuring that every pet parent feels heard and every pet’s concerns are taken seriously. The clinic often works with independent traveling specialists when required, ensuring pets have access to specialized care, such as an ECG, right at the Glendale location.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I was new to the Milwaukee area and found My Pet's vet on what I call The Night of the Bloody Paw. One of my cats was periodically bleeding from one of her paws, and I couldn't find where. This is an independent vet business, and I prefer to do business with independents because I feel like my animals get better care. I did call 3 or 4 other independent businesses before My Pet's Vet, but none of them were taking new patients. This place is a little farther away from me but they were independent and had room for new parients, so I emailed over the medical records for this cat and she was seen either that evening or the next. This was 2 years ago, so I've forgotten some of the details. They found the claw causing this issue, treated it with kindness and care, and we set up appointments for my cats to get their checkups.I have senior cats with senior cat medical issues and Dr. Beatty and his team have been wonderful at helping my furry friends live out their golden years as happy and healthy as possible. This business does see all manner of pets beyond dogs and cats: guinea pigs, lizzards, rabbits, etc. I think there is only one exam room, so there are no long waits in a room full of other animals that could be distressing for the next patient. As of this review, they don't take pet insurance.Other nice things:They're very responsive to emails. They even do follow-up emails if your pet is sick, on a new medication, or something to see how it's going. They have their own parking lot. They have an ADA compliant wheelchair ramp and landing. This business is in a house which is fitted for a business, so it has a comfortable, relaxing feel to it that both me and my animals enjoy.7/29/2025 update: My Pet's Vet continues to provide excellent care for all of my furry friends. Over the past year they have helped me welcome two more cats into my life. One of them has some health conditions and everyone has been great about helping with the diagnoses and treatments.---------------------Original post below±+++++++++++++++++++++My animals see the same vet and techs every time, and they are able to keep up on who they are and what they need. This business works with other independent businesses if your pet has or would benefit from some medical care not provided here. The same cat from the beginning of this review received an ECG at this location from a traveling specialist.Closing note: at the start of 2024 I adopted another senior cat. This one has hyperthyroidism and came to me with coccidia. I adopted another senior with needs because I felt I had the vet support I needed with My Pet's Vet. She's doing great now, too. 🥰 July 29 · Heather Green
- My husband and I absolutely love this place!! The staff is exceptional, you never feel rushed, and you are treated like you truly matter. We feel lucky to have found and transferred care to them last year after our previous vet dismissed all of our concerns with dog Kylo’s health.Dr. Ron immediately took all the concerns we had seriously and because of that Kylo is finally able to enjoy being outside without his allergies flaring up and giving him rashes/ear infections. It’s crazy to think back on the three previous Vets we had that told us Kylos allergies were “just something he would have to live with”. Dr. Ron did what none of those could: gave my baby a chance to enjoy life without being constantly itchy. I just wish I lived in this area sooner so he could have been our Vet this entire time!Dr. Ron also surprised us by spending a long time with Kylo to individually biopsy over a dozen lumps he grew under his skin and made extensive notes so we could track them (thankfully they are nothing of concern). We are just so thankful for Dr. Ron and his amazing staff for all that they do in keeping all the animals healthy🐾🐾Kylo and Nellie love you guys! 💗 October 26 · Jessie Habel
- Dr Ron takes excellent care of our pets, tabby cat Millie and part hound Luna. He is knowledgeable, friendly and really cares about his patients. Top notch Vet. We highly recommend him. March 11 · Pamela Curran
- I found Dr. Beatty while searching for a second opinion for my hedgehog, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. I could not be happier with the care he and the clinic staff provided for my baby. They're incredibly compassionate and empathetic - We felt very well-cared-for!! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Beatty at My Pet's Vet to anyone in need of care for their pet! August 25 · Monica Ayala
- Dr. Ron and his staff have been fantastic (helpful, understanding, and caring) for both our dog and our ball python over the years. This vet really knows how to take care of your pets and help you keep them happy and healthy ♡ May 19 · Caitlin
