Oklahoma Veterinary Rehabilitation Introduce
For pet owners across the Oklahoma City metro and surrounding regions, finding specialized, dedicated care for a beloved companion facing mobility issues, chronic pain, or long-term recovery is paramount. **Oklahoma Veterinary Rehabilitation (OK Vet Rehab)** stands out as a unique veterinary resource, focusing entirely on **Physical Rehabilitation** and **Pain Management** for small animals. This facility is not a primary care clinic; instead, it operates as a specialized center, collaborating with your regular veterinarian to enhance your pet's recovery and quality of life.
The clinic is led by Dr. Amy Auwarter-Diaz, who brings a high level of specialized training to the field. This integrative approach ensures that your pet benefits from evidence-based physiotherapy techniques combined with holistic treatments like **Acupuncture**. This specialized expertise is critical for conditions like post-surgical recovery (such as from CCL or TPLO procedures), neurological deficits, and the management of debilitating conditions like **Hip Dysplasia** and advanced arthritis in **Geriatric** pets.
As noted in the testimonials from grateful Oklahoma clients, the team—including Dr. Auwarter-Diaz and her assistant, Bobbi—is praised for being exceptionally **gentle and patient**, even with "high strung" dogs. They are celebrated for their knowledgeable approach and for treating every pet "like they were their own," which helps nervous pets like Remy and those recovering from major surgery, such as Teddy, achieve remarkable results. This compassionate and hands-on approach is what makes OK Vet Rehab an invaluable partner in the long-term health and well-being of Oklahoma’s furry family members. They focus on restoring function and maintaining an active, comfortable life, which is a true gift to both pet and owner.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Dr. Auwarter-Diaz and Bobbi are so gentle and patient with my boy, Remy, who can be a little high strung. They've helped him so much with his joint issues after his two CCL surgeries. I've seen such an improvement since starting treatment! March 17 · Kristen Waldman
- Dr. Auwarter and Bobbi are absolutely amazing! Our 3 year old toy poodle suffered stage 5 IVDD with no deep pain sensation in Sept 2024. He underwent surgery on Oct 1, 2024. We started Teddy in rehabilitation therapy with Dr. Auwarter and her assistant, Bobbi, 2 weeks after his surgery. They were so good with Teddy. They were gentle and patient with him, treating him like he was their own dog! And they were very knowledgeable. He did 10 weeks of acupuncture and physical therapy. We were also given exercises to do with him at home. And so many suggestions on other things we could do to improve his strength and healing. Dr. Auwarter also recommended doing water therapy for Teddy. So we were also doing that on a weekly basis (at another business) in addition to his acupuncture and physical therapy. All of the therapies Dr. Auwarter recommended helped our boy tremendously. He is doing amazing. He is walking, running, playing (while being monitored!) and he is back to his old, energetic self! We are very grateful! And I miss seeing Dr. Auwarter and Bobbi as they became like family! It took a village to help our boy get better. And they were part of that village! Don’t hesitate to bring your sweet, furry family member to them. They will be well taken care of! ❤️❤️ March 04 · Stacy Hochstetler
- We have a dog that has issues with his lower back. We were referred to OK Vet Rehab by our veterinarian. Dr. Amy Auwarter-Diaz and her assistant Bobbi are awesome! They are so compassionate and were so calm with our dog. Our dog had 4 weeks of acupuncture and we could see a noticeable improvement in him. They are very thorough and great at explaining what they are examining and the reason for it.My husband and I highly recommend Oklahoma Veterinary Rehabilitation. One will not be disappointed! - Dr Auwarter and her Vet Asst, Ruth, are awesome! Dr. Auwarter has taken the time to listen to our concerns about our aging fur baby. She has spent a lot of time working on him through acupuncture, physical therapy, laser light therapy and prescription therapy. She created a realistic daily plan of action for us so we can continue keeping him as healthy as possible. She's always available to answer questions and her knowledge on aging dogs has been invaluable. It's very apparent she cares a lot about her four legged patients. We are so grateful our Bon has been so well taken care of by Amy and Ruth! September 13 · Sonya Hagler
