PetVet at Tractor Supply Company Introduce
For dedicated pet owners across Missouri, ensuring your dog or cat receives timely and effective preventive health care is paramount. However, the cost and scheduling difficulties associated with traditional veterinary visits can sometimes make routine care a challenge. This is where PetVet at Tractor Supply Company steps in. Located conveniently in Perryville, MO, PetVet offers a specialized model of Veterinary Care focused exclusively on essential, non-emergency preventative health services.
PetVet's core mission is to make routine wellness accessible and affordable. By operating within the local Tractor Supply store, they eliminate the traditional office visit fees, providing transparent, upfront pricing for services like vaccinations, testing, and microchipping. This approach is highly valued by pet parents seeking to keep their companions healthy without the financial stress of unexpected costs. Whether your pet needs a crucial Rabies vaccine booster or a seasonal Heartworm test, PetVet offers a streamlined, walk-in experience, making necessary maintenance an easy part of your regular shopping routine.
The clinic is staffed by state-licensed veterinarians and friendly, knowledgeable technicians committed to providing high-quality care. They focus on common, yet vital, services that form the foundation of lifelong pet health, including core and lifestyle-based vaccinations, parasite prevention, and routine wellness checks. PetVet is an ideal, supplementary health resource for maintaining your pet's annual preventative needs, though it is important to remember that they are not equipped to handle complex medical issues or emergencies. For severe illnesses, injuries, or surgeries, a full-service veterinary hospital is necessary.
Location and Accessibility in Perryville, Missouri
The PetVet clinic is situated inside the Tractor Supply Company in Perryville, providing unparalleled convenience for local pet owners. Its location within a familiar retail setting means easy access and ample parking.
The clinic can be found at:
- 801 N Kingshighway St, Perryville, MO 63775, USA
The location ensures accessibility for all community members, featuring key accommodations:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance for comfortable entry and exit.
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot to minimize travel distance from the car.
- Wheelchair accessible restroom and a clean public Restroom for customer convenience.
PetVet is primarily a community clinic, often operating on specific, periodic schedules within the store. The standard operational model is **No Appointment Needed**, emphasizing flexibility and walk-in service. However, some customers have noted challenges with the check-in process during busy clinic times. While the official policy encourages pre-registration online to save time and receive reminders, some patrons have found that standing in the on-site line may sometimes result in faster service than waiting for the electronic check-in system to process pre-registered clients. Missouri pet owners planning a visit should be prepared for potential wait times and consider checking the latest local clinic schedule and process before arrival, especially for time-sensitive tests like the Heartworm test.
Essential Preventive Services Offered
PetVet at Tractor Supply Company specializes in providing the vital, routine services required for dogs and cats to maintain optimal health. These services are typically offered on an individual basis or bundled into affordable wellness packages tailored to your pet's age and lifestyle.
Core services include:
- Vaccinations: Administration of essential core vaccines for dogs and cats (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP) as well as non-core but commonly needed vaccines (Leptospirosis, Bordetella for dogs, Feline Leukemia for outdoor cats).
- Preventative Testing: Crucial diagnostics, including the annual Heartworm/Tick-Borne Disease Test, Feline Retroviral Test (FeLV/FIV) for cats, and Intestinal Parasite Screening.
- Parasite Control: Provision of Deworming treatments (Roundworm/Hookworm, Tapeworm) and prescription-based Flea, Tick, and Heartworm prevention products.
- Identification: Quick and easy Microchip Pet ID implantation with lifetime registration, which is essential for ensuring your pet can be identified if lost.
- Routine Care: Services like Vitals Checks, and practical maintenance such as a professional Nail Trim.
- Wellness Packages: Comprehensive bundled options for puppies, kittens, adult dogs, and adult cats (such as Vital Health and Total Health packages) that combine necessary vaccines, screenings, and deworming at a single, discounted price.
All services include a basic Vitals Check and consultation with a state-licensed veterinarian, though they are not a substitute for a full-service veterinary hospital's comprehensive physical exam or treatment of an illness.

PetVet at Tractor Supply Company Reviews
- I pre registered in July 2 weeks before the clinic to take my dog in for a heartworm test. I was told to be there at 9:30 & wait for a text. At 10:15 I still hadn't recieved a text, so I went to inquire how long and she told me there were 9 more in front of us. I had to go, so preregistered for the next month & left. So I recieved a text to be at the store at 9:30. & wait for a text. At 10:30 I went to the line & asked what the hold up was. I preregistered 4 weeks ago, I should have been one of the first ones in. NO! They were taking the people who were standing in line first! What? I could have came in & stood in line at 9:15 & been out of there by now, but I did what you told me to, & spent an hour outside in 90 degree weather walking a 90 Lb GSD. They told me well the system is not perfect, & walked away. That is not acceptable! To punish the ones who follow the rules. I will never preregister again! SMH. Bad business practices!
