Veterinarian, Veterinary pharmacy ★4.0

2555 Pinellas Point Dr S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712, USA

4.0
We transferred here in order to follow a vet that we absolutely loved. Our initial visit was fine, however they didn’t give any guidance on getting a written prescription that I could use to get a medicine I mentioned I could get significantly cheaper online. I called first thing in the morning to get this prescription and was rudely addressed by the front desk employee Holly who said I signed a contract that they don’t work directly with them and they request 24 hours for refills. I let her know that we had requested these prescriptions the day prior at our vet appointment and I needed to get them today. After no updates I stopped in on my way home from work to check in on them and she then got the Veterinary manager Kasey who was extremely rude and defensive, and raised her voice at me in front of other customers when I remained calm. I let them know that I needed to get the prescription in order to send it in because the medication cannot be given late based on my dogs diagnosis. She argued with me that I could pay significantly more from their vet and could get the medication faster, and I told her I didn’t have the money to be able to do that since my baby just had 10,000$ in emergency vet bills. We were disappointed as we loved our vet but it seems as though this practice only cares about making money and lack basic morals and empathy for pet owners and try to red tape getting necessary care for pets . I also don’t think it was appropriate, respectful, or professional practice the way they handled the situation. - Kristy Jane Walker

Pinellas Point Veterinary Care Introduce

For pet owners in Florida, finding a veterinary practice that combines cutting-edge medicine with genuine compassion can be a challenge. Pinellas Point Veterinary Care in St. Petersburg rises to this challenge, offering an extensive range of advanced services designed to meet the complex health needs of your beloved companions. This is not a standard veterinary clinic; it is a sophisticated animal hospital with a focus on specialized treatments, diagnostics, and integrative medicine. From minimally invasive surgeries and advanced imaging to therapies like acupuncture and stem cell treatment, the clinic is at the forefront of modern animal healthcare. They understand that a pet is a cherished family member, and their goal is to provide the highest level of care to ensure a long, healthy, and happy life.

Pinellas Point Veterinary Care’s commitment to advanced diagnostics and treatment is evident in its comprehensive list of services. They are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including on-site labs for blood work and diagnostic ultrasounds, as well as advanced imaging services like CT imaging. This in-house capability allows their veterinary team to make precise and rapid diagnoses, which is crucial for conditions that require immediate attention. The clinic is also a leader in surgical procedures, offering everything from general and soft tissue surgery to complex orthopedic surgeries, including bone repairs and knee surgeries. They are also skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as laparoscopic spays, which reduce recovery time and discomfort for the pet.

What truly sets this practice apart is its dedication to a holistic and integrative approach to pet wellness. In addition to traditional medical and surgical services, they offer complementary therapies that address pain management and rehabilitation. Services like cold laser therapy, acupuncture, and regenerative therapies (including stem cell treatment) provide pet owners with a variety of options for managing chronic conditions like dog arthritis. For pets recovering from surgery or injury, their canine rehabilitation program and physical therapy services help to restore mobility and quality of life. This all-encompassing approach demonstrates the clinic’s philosophy of treating the whole animal, not just the symptoms, and reflects their commitment to providing personalized care for each patient.

The clinic’s services also extend to other crucial areas of pet health, from preventative care to specialized needs. They provide essential services like vaccinations and parasite prevention, as well as more specialized care for conditions such as canine atopic dermatitis and snoring in brachycephalic dog breeds. The clinic even offers avian vet care and a wildlife rehab service, showcasing their broad expertise and dedication to a wide range of animals. For end-of-life care, they provide compassionate support through hospice care and in-home pet euthanasia, understanding the importance of a peaceful and dignified farewell. This full spectrum of care, from puppyhood to old age, makes them a comprehensive and reliable partner for Florida pet owners.

While the clinic offers a broad range of high-quality services, it's worth noting that client experiences can vary, as with any business. A review highlighted a positive experience with an emergency while on vacation, praising the "wonderful, kind and caring" staff who were attentive and efficient. This review noted the clinic’s ability to "quickly sorted out the issue" and even took the time to review medical records from a vet back home. This demonstrates their commitment to providing excellent, responsive care. Another review, however, expressed frustration regarding a prescription request, citing issues with communication and a perceived lack of empathy. This shows the importance of clear communication with staff and highlights that pet owners may have different expectations regarding a clinic’s policies. Pinellas Point Veterinary Care’s mission is to provide personalized care, and they encourage clients to communicate any concerns to their management team to ensure a positive experience for all.
