So, what is worth choosing about Riverdale Animal Hospital? The available customer reviews paint a sharply contrasting picture, making a careful consideration of all feedback essential for potential clients. One review, which is overwhelmingly positive, states, "Love this Vet, where wisdom matters, there's no shortage... Best service for the cheapest prices..." This testimonial suggests that the hospital's strengths lie in its medical expertise and its affordability, two critical factors for any pet owner. For those seeking quality care without a high price tag, this review suggests the hospital is an excellent option.
However, another review offers a very different perspective, raising serious concerns about a client's experience with the staff. This review describes an individual who, when contacted for a pet emergency, was "literally yelled" at and told they were "busy and had other things to do." The client felt this indicated a lack of compassion and professionalism, leading them to doubt the care their animal would receive. This negative feedback, while concerning, highlights the importance of clear communication and a professional demeanor, particularly during stressful situations like a pet emergency.
In weighing these two reviews, potential clients are presented with a choice. The positive review focuses on the value and medical wisdom of the clinic, suggesting that the care itself is excellent and affordable. The negative review, on the other hand, focuses on the customer service aspect, suggesting that the initial point of contact may not always be a positive experience. For pet owners in Illinois, the decision will likely come down to their priorities. If a pet owner is seeking a clinic known for its affordable prices and effective care, Riverdale Animal Hospital may be a good choice. However, if a welcoming and compassionate customer service experience is paramount, it would be wise to consider these varying accounts.

November 28 · Daniela SantiagoLove this Vet, where wisdom matters, there's no shortage... Best service for the cheapest prices...
April 28 · Eddy GreenzVet recommended my dog get his tail redone, I had bought my dog with his tail docked already. I was coming in just for his ears. Lets just say it led to my dog getting a bacterial infection and I'm out 1000 dollars now. I didn't want to even touch his tail, but the Vet assisted, and said if I didn't get it done now my dog will have a scar forever, because it was not done properly. My dog was in pain for weeks. No pain medicine was giving, I had to to take him to the Er. Where they actually gave my dog a cone to help the wound heal, proper medicine, and treatment. This vet had me buy a cone, and the stated I didn't buy the right one. Money hungry and rude to women was very nice to my Dad though. If you love your dog do not bring him here, I feel like a failure for bringing my dog to this place. If you notice they never address any of their bad reviews. Red flag.
June 23 · Tisha McgaryTook my dog (yorkie) here because he had a UTI treatment was almost $400 and my dog was feeling better within 3 days! The place is very old but they did help I was so scared.
July 15 · Brielle AnijahThis doctor has no respect for women, and he's money hungry if you love your pet, please don't bring them here. I brought my dog here for ear cropping only, he convinced us our dog tail needed to be recut, because the people who originally did it left scarring, we asked if we could think the tail over, just do the ears, he said no it needs to be done immediately. After the surgery he told us the dangerous side effects of it getting infected, he could die etc but he didn't tell us this before we had the surgery done. Our dog was too big to get the tail recut he is very active and everything, his stitches came open he charged us full price to re-sew it again & blamed us, saying if it bustes open a 3rd time we will pay again. He put wired stitches in that made his tail worst and they were loose. We ended up taking our dog to the emergency room, they took the stitches out and said it made it worst & it was inffected. This doctor didn't give us any medication the first time, he told us to buy our own stuff. He was very rude to me and my sister we are woman he had no respect then I brought my dad in his tone changed and he was nicer, I told him to his face about his rude behavior and being sexist towards women. Never returning and I won't my money back for the horrible tail surgery he did, he almost caused my dog to lose his life, trying to be greedy for money he needs to be shut down.
