★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had my Great Danes ears cropped a few months ago. Everyone was very professional and ready to educate you on the surgery. I would highly recommend Smith Veterinarian clinic.
June 01 · Zachary SmithHorrible experience and discrimination! We have a 14 week old Cane Corso, we own both of his parents and decided to keep him from the litter we recently had. We have tons of experience with this breed. We had his ears cropped and his ears were botched by a different vet. We contacted this clinic and spoke with Dr. Anderson and another lady multiple times, told them the entire situation and sent them multiple pictures of his ears. She said he needed revision and was excited to help us. We drove over 9 hours for this surgical appointment. Got hotels for two days for preparation. I got to his appointment a few minutes early and had to wait outside until after his appointment time because they wouldn’t turn the lights on and unlock the doors. When we finally got in we were placed in an OP room and waited over an hour. An assistant came in and wanted to take him back for blood work, he was scared as she came up to him with a leash to wrap around his neck. He growled and nipped at her her out of fear, she muzzled him and carried him back. Dr. Anderson told me to come back and immediately started bashing me, saying his behavior(due to anxiety and fear) was unacceptable there. She refused to do the revision that she scheduled and we drove over 9 hours for. She continued to insult his breed, “educating” me on how dangerous they are. I told her several times I own his parents and he is just scared due to previous appointments with his ears. She kept saying he needs obedience school and shouldn’t act that way. I told my puppy he was okay and tried to calm him down and she told me not to tell him that. She talked down to me as if I was ignorant. She completely wasted my time, money, and added stress on my puppy. She was rude and rough with him, she was not kind or professional. She also charged us $80 for absolutely nothing. Again, she knew his breed before scheduling this appointment and also she saw his ears in numerous photos and knew how far away we lived. She also knew I was traveling pregnant and with my 3 kids. She could have told us he didn’t need the surgery before having us come all the way there, but the main thing is the way she insulted my dog and myself. I’m well educated on this breed and have owned them for years(we have 3). She completely discriminated my dog and refused treatment due to his breed.
October 20 · Dana GrayHuge fan of Smith Veterinary Hospital. My dog pretty much hates the vet. Both vets there, Dr. Anderson and Dr Parks go out of their way to work with him. And the vet tech Joslyn is amazing dealing with his anxiety at the vet. The pricing is fair, and the service is top notch, but the people make all the difference.
August 13 · Joe YoungThis vet knew what breed we had prior to this scheduled surgery and we got completely profiled due to his breed and shamed for it soon as we walked in . My cane corse puppy had previous botched ear crop from a vet in North Dakota. Reached out to this vet in a Plea for helpSent several pictures to Dr. Anderson. The difference in ears were clear. And she said she was happy to help us. I Explained we live 9Hours away but will still make the trip to get little Zukos ears fixed they set up appointment for today 10/17/24 @9 for surgery . After 9 hours drive and hotel stay from night before Zuko (14 weeks old) was little uneasy this morning just being on a long drive and in a new place. Went into the vet he got a little snippy due to fear not aggression “FEAR” which is normal for a little puppy that is in a completely new place on top of having to ride for 9 hours. Long story short Dr. Anderson refused to do the revision surgery she had promised us and had scheduled for today due to 14 week old Zuko acting little snippy from being scared. Instead of being thoughtful and understanding that he was just scared she was rude to my pregnant wife and sent her and my 2 kids out the door. Thank you Dr Anderson for the waste of my time the 9 hours we drove waste of my money to top it off charged us 80 bucks just for her to send us away.
October 17 · Zachary GraySmith Veterinary Hospital has amazing staff and they take amazing care of your furbabies. We come from Rochester to get care here. High quality staff and services. We had our miniature schnauzers' ears cropped here, and we are so pleased with the care and results!
