Town & Country Animal Care Inc Introduce
For residents of Michigan's Thumb region, particularly in and around Marlette, finding a veterinarian who is equipped to handle the diverse needs of both large farm animals and small household pets is crucial. Town & Country Animal Care Inc is a local veterinary clinic that serves this unique niche, offering a blend of traditional in-office services and convenient farm and home visits. The clinic’s name itself reflects its mission: to provide professional veterinary care for animals whether they live in a town home or on a country farm. Their comprehensive approach to animal health, from preventive care to dealing with acute issues, makes them a significant resource for the local community. This article will provide an overview of what Town & Country Animal Care Inc offers, while also acknowledging the varying experiences of community members to provide a factual and balanced perspective.
The core philosophy of Town & Country Animal Care Inc is centered on a dual commitment to the health of both small pets and large animals. They are a valuable partner for local farmers and horse owners, providing essential services like farm visits and large animal care. This service is a major convenience for those who cannot easily transport their animals to a clinic. The practice also offers home visits for smaller pets, further demonstrating its dedication to client convenience and animal comfort. They focus on providing a full range of pet care, including heartworm and parasite prevention, as well as essential services like teeth cleaning. However, it is important to note that public feedback regarding their customer service and appointment scheduling has been mixed. Some clients have reported a lack of communication and difficulty in establishing care, particularly for new clients with multiple animals, while others praise the veterinarian's skills. This highlights the importance of clear communication and setting expectations for service.
Town & Country Animal Care Inc is located at 3150 Main St, Marlette, MI 48453, USA. This central location in Marlette makes it a convenient option for residents of the town and surrounding rural areas. The facility is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a wheelchair-accessible car park, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and a wheelchair-accessible toilet. These features are a thoughtful addition that ensures the clinic is welcoming and easy to navigate for all clients. The facility also provides a standard toilet for client use.
The clinic operates primarily on an appointment-based schedule, with appointments being required or at least highly recommended. For the convenience of their clients, they offer both in-office visits and off-site services like farm and home calls. This dual approach is particularly beneficial for the rural community they serve. However, some reviews indicate that scheduling appointments, particularly for new patients, can be a challenge. It is therefore a good idea to be persistent and patient when trying to establish care or book a visit, particularly if you have a large number of animals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m in customer service and I can say I’ve had literally nothing but issues with this office. Can never get a call back, can never get an answer. Just moved to area and have 13 horses and I’ve been trying to establish care with them for over 4 months. Can’t even get an appt scheduled, the office has been rude to me and my spouse. I’m literally begging them to take my money and can’t even get a phone call returned from them or an appt scheduled. I hate leaving bad reviews, I really do but this has been a nightmare trying to get anything scheduled with them. At one point we had a medical emergency with one of our horses, called in and the lady basically said well what do you want us to do? I think that’s pretty self explanatory, we needed to get him in to the office or have the vet come to our home and neither option was offered to us. Lady basically said well he’s old not much we can do anyway. Old or not that horse is a part of our family and deserved care when he was nearly dying. I’ve heard great things about the vet himself, but I’ve yet to meet or speak to him bc I can’t even get an appt scheduled with him!At first they told us they would schedule us for a farm visit back in June, never received a call back on that. After over 4 months of trying to get them to our house or an appt in the office someone just told me today they are no longer accepting new clients. Would have been great info to have when we first reached out to them. Literally have 13 horses and they won’t even try to work with us and they are only vet even reasonably close to us. Truly disappointing that I have to now find a different vet and haul the horses there.
October 11 · Jonathan LametThey have done a good job taking care of my animals, but recently I have experienced terrible customer service which has made me debate switching vets. I had made an appointment which they cancelled because they said the doctor wasn't going to be in at that time (not sure why they had originally scheduled me for that time if the doctor wasn't even going to be in) and didn't get a hold of me so I missed work and showed up for an appointment that no longer existed. Today I called up there to ask about a medication my dog was put on and the lady on the phone, I believe her name was Alex, put me on hold with no warning while I was mid-sentence. I waited on hold for about 10 minutes before I just gave up and hung up the phone. I am not at all impressed with the service I have gotten recently.
July 30 · Amelia BednaryczkTown & country is my animals veterinarian, they took care of my boy until his last day on this Earth. Very heartfelt Staff💙
January 30 · DeRusha Insulation LLC.Been taking our animals here for nearly 20 years and they've been awesome! The staff is great in both locations and they do their best to get you in when there's unexpected care needed. They always listen to your concerns and don't pressure you with additionals, and they've worked with us with costs. Definitely recommend.
October 18 · KevinI went here and they are very pleasant people there and very helpful, loving, and caring. I love this place. They took good care of my dog who had 2 teeth pulled and they clipped her nails and gave her a rabies shot that I requested. I will be coming back for all of my dogs need and check ups. I definitely will recommend this place to everyone I know.
