What makes VCA Aledo Animal Hospital worth choosing is the powerful and positive experiences of its clients. While one review points to a negative experience with communication and cost, the overwhelmingly positive testimonials, especially the one about Dr. Emily Murphey and Dr. Finger, paint a different picture. The client who wrote about their new rescue, Charley, provides a compelling reason to choose this clinic. When Charley was diagnosed with a blood clot disorder, the doctors took a safe, monitored approach to her spaying. Most remarkably, Dr. Murphey and Dr. Finger went "above and beyond" by volunteering their own dogs to be on standby for a blood transfusion. Dr. Murphey brought her own dog, Dixie, to the clinic on the day of the procedure, and Dr. Finger performed the successful surgery. This level of selflessness and dedication is rarely seen and speaks volumes about the clinic's ethics and commitment. The client's statement that they "trust VCA Aledo Animal Hospital wholeheartedly" is the most powerful endorsement possible. While a single negative experience can be disheartening, the long-standing relationships and acts of incredible kindness described in the positive review showcase a practice that is genuinely invested in the well-being of its patients. They are a team that not only offers high-quality medical services but also the down-home, caring, and friendly service that every Texan wants for their furry family members.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a vet of any kind. Staff was not personable and it felt like a scam. We were trying to get treatment for our 8 year old cat when she is in a bad spot, but $500 later and very very little vet interaction with our cat, we were given no answers, 3 days worth of medicine, and a suggestion we spend another $500 for an X-ray. If you need a vet, go somewhere else like Vista Animal Hospital and Rehab. At least they seem to actually care about animals and don’t just see them as an income product.
June 16 · William GlascoWe travel out of our way to this VCA Aledo Animal Hospital for many reasons, one of the biggest being Dr. Emily Murphey! She has cared for our furry family members for over a dozen years. She's cared for some when they were new to our family and helped ease our pain when it was their time. She's even given some of them special nicknames that we still use.The other doctors, front office, and tech team are always just as fantastic during our pets’ wellness visits and check-ups. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful people like Raven, Abbie, Nora, Brittany, Megan, Keeley, Andrea, Cynthia, and of course, Doctors Finger, Coakley, Foard, and Dykstra.Recently, they tested our newest pet rescue, Charley, before spaying her and found out she has a blood clot disorder. They monitored her for a few months and took a safe approach to spaying her. Dr. Murphey and Dr. Finger went above and beyond and volunteered their own dogs just in case Charley needed a blood transfusion. Dr. Murphy brought her fur baby, Dixie, to the clinic on standby on her procedure day. Wow! Talk about down-home caring, friendly service! Dr. Finger did the procedure. She was amazing and kept me well-informed as I sat in the lobby waiting during the surgery. She did an incredible job, and our sweet Charley girl came through the procedure beautifully. I trust VCA Aledo Animal Hospital wholeheartedly with my fur babies. Thank you for all you do for us!
August 09 · DiDi SmithThis was our first time here. The staff was really great and I loved the fish tank!, we will be back. They were really great with my babies
July 24 · Amanda MaebellI love everyone here they are amazing!! They have saved my dogs on 2 separate occasions! First a couple years ago when my lab got bit on the leg and almost lost all the skin there. He is older so we weren’t sure he would be able to get through it. I called so many vets and either they couldn’t get me in immediately, they wanted to charge an ‘emergency’ fee or they turned us away because of the nature of the injury.Well VCA Aledo just told me get in whenever you can. When They saw him they were honest that they may not be able to get it to close and stay closed and it could become a permanent issue. But they did such an amazing job and checked up on his progress consistently! The vet called me daily and asked for pictures to make sure he healed well. My pup is now 11 years old and you can’t tell he was ever hurt he doesn’t even have a scar!!Second this week they saved the life of my 11 month old German shepherd! She started eating less which I wasn’t too worried about but 4 days in she started bleeding. Once again I played phone tag with all the close vets and no one could get me in! Call VCA Aledo and they told me to get in ASAP! As soon as we got her there her condition deteriorated! She had pyometra and needed emergency surgery and there was a big chance she wouldn’t make it! I was told she aspirated during surgery, yet even with the complications and the severity on the surgery, they saved my baby girl! She got so sick within just 2 hours! Yet now she is happy and energetic and eating again! And I am so grateful to this group for always being here for my family!!
May 03 · Mallarie McCoyThis hospital murdered my best friend. She walked in the Aledo animal clinic and a couple days later couldn’t eat or walk ever again. The second picture was her last day. Do your self a favor, don’t trust this organization if you love your animals like family.
