★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We are so incredibly fortunate to have this practice and each staff member as part of our dogs’ care team!!! Dr Pagel + Desiree are a team beyond compare! And when they are available? All of the staff are great and caring - we NEVER worry about the level of medical care, comfort and love our family pack receives. They are worth driving the 50 miles! If they did large animals, our full crew would be going here!
June 04 · Kristina MarshI want to thank Dr. Tripp for everything that she did for my pup. I brought my Boston Terrier in when she was having multiple problems with her health due to horrible allergies. Dr. Tripp went above and beyond to give almost an hour of her time and was super patient to find out what was going on with my pups health. Dr. Tripp is by far the best experience and absolutely loves animals and is THE BEST at her job!!!! After all of her advice and care my pup is now doing amazing! I want to scenery thank the whole crew at VCA for their true care and love for animals. Sox is doing great and we’re incredibly grateful!
April 20 · Jared WestI want to start this off by saying that I'd been coming to this location for my cats for 5 years. Even after 3 moves, I continued to bring my cats here because I was so happy with the care they were getting. I'm extremely disappointed to have to write this review, but I'm writing my complaint here because I didn't want to call and take out my frustrations on the reception staff that have been nothing but helpful to me over the years. They and the techs are the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one.Dr. Pagel was AMAZING. It felt like she genuinely cared about my cats and would take the time to personally message me to follow up on them. Unfortunately, she left this clinic in February and my cats' care was transferred over to Dr. Swanzy. That's when everything went downhill. One of my cats needed his prescription adjusted, but I wanted to discuss it with Dr. Swanzy first, since we would be adjusting both the suspension and the dose. Front desk said they would leave her a message about it since she wasn't in office that day. The next day, I get a notification that my prescription was ready for pickup. No phone call, no discussion. Dr. Swanzy wrote the new prescription as exactly the same dose my cat was on before, just a liquid suspension instead of a pill, which was only half of the adjustments we needed to make. But sure, at least I got his meds. In my next appointment with her, it just felt like she wanted to get me out of the room as soon as possible. It seemed like she was getting annoyed with the questions I was asking. Very cold and straight to the point.Recently (and what ended up being my final straw here), I took my other cat in for a respiratory issue and saw Dr. Tripp, one of the many relief vets they hired (who was very helpful and informative, I saw her twice and was happy with her care, but being a relief vet, she isn't always there). She ran a test and said Dr. Swanzy would reach out with the results on Monday since this was done on a Friday and Dr. Tripp would be out of town for a few weeks. Monday rolled around, I didn't hear anything. Didn't even get the test results in the app like I sometimes do, or a message from the front desk. Tuesday and Wednesday went by without a word, so I called. I was assured Dr. Swanzy would call Thursday. Surprise - she didn't. Then the clinic was closed Friday for a holiday, and I had to wait until Monday to call again. Meanwhile, my cat was ACTIVELY sick and getting sicker, and I couldn't get a hold of the vet to tell me how to help him. I call again on Monday, and get told that they'd mark my request as urgent. I don't get the call from Swanzy until an hour after the clinic closed. But at least I finally got the call...even if it was entire week later. Swanzy sounded cold and disinterested. The meds my cat needed would take a few days to be ready, so she wrote a prescription for something else that would be ready quicker and that "should" help. She said she would check in with me after a week of treatment to see how it was helping. Can you guess if I ever got that call, or even a text? Of course I didn't, and I wasn't about to waste another week trying to get a hold of her. The meds did not help my cat, and he is STILL sick. Seeing as this clinic has seemingly not hired another resident vet after Dr. Pagel left, there's no reason for me to keep coming here. I will be taking my cat to a different clinic to get him checked out for something that should've been solved weeks ago. I understand that with only one resident vet, that vet can get overwhelmed with patients. But the lack of follow up and communication while I've continuously called back trying to get SOMEONE to help my sick cat is absolutely unacceptable. It's like y'all took my money for testing and treatment (that didn't even work) and then ghosted me. Now, I have to spend even more money, since my cat's condition seems like it has developed into something worse.
July 22 · Lyss CastroWe love Dr Swanzy, who has cared for all of our dogs and our cat. Dr Swanzy is great at presenting options for our pet's care that addresses quality of life over everything. The staff is always welcoming when we come in.
June 08 · Mare KretschmarDr. Broussard is so wonderful I drive 20 miles just to make sure she sees my dogs. She gave dignity to my Sammie when we had to put him to rest in 2017 and she reminds me of how to keep my two dogs healthy as they age. She is professional, thorough, honest, and flexible. I'll keep coming to her as long as I can get there.
