Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in Wisconsin, keeping up with preventative care like vaccinations and parasite control is a vital part of responsible ownership. However, the cost of a full veterinary visit can sometimes be a barrier. Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located inside the Petco in Eau Claire, offers a valuable and highly accessible alternative. This clinic is designed to provide essential, routine health services in a convenient, low-cost setting, making it easier for local families to keep their beloved pets healthy. The concept is simple: professional veterinary staff provides core preventative services, helping to reduce the overall financial burden of pet care.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic operates on the principle of providing focused, preventative services without the expense of a full-service animal hospital visit. This model is particularly appealing for pet owners who need to maintain their pet's vaccination schedule or get a quick microchip without paying for a comprehensive exam. The staff, which includes licensed veterinarians and technicians, is trained to handle these specific services efficiently and with care. As one long-time customer noted, the team is professional and caring, and they listen to questions and concerns, ensuring that even a quick visit feels attentive and personalized.
The clinic's mission is to make pet wellness accessible to everyone, and its transparent pricing and lack of "vet visit fees" make it a standout choice for budget-conscious families. For residents of Eau Claire and the surrounding areas, Vetco provides a practical, affordable, and trustworthy option for ensuring their pets are protected from common diseases and parasites. This approach has cultivated a loyal customer base who appreciates the affordability and convenience of the service.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic is located at 3731 Gateway Dr, Eau Claire, WI 54701, USA, inside the local Petco store. This location is easily accessible for residents of Eau Claire and the broader Chippewa Valley area. Being situated within a major pet supply store adds a layer of convenience, allowing pet owners to combine their vaccination visits with their regular shopping for pet food and supplies.
The clinic and the host store are designed with accessibility in mind. They offer a wheelchair-accessible car park, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and a wheelchair-accessible toilet. These amenities ensure that all community members, regardless of mobility, can comfortably visit the clinic and get the services their pets need. The presence of a clean and accessible restroom further enhances the overall client experience.
Appointments are now required, which is a significant improvement that helps manage wait times and ensures a smoother process for everyone. This shift from a walk-in model to a more structured appointment-based system has been a positive change, allowing the staff to dedicate more focused time to each pet. As one reviewer mentioned, while the process can still take some time, the benefit of having a set appointment makes it a much better experience than before.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic focuses on core preventative health services. They do not offer comprehensive exams for sick pets, surgeries, or other full-service veterinary care. Instead, they specialize in the following key areas, providing them with efficiency and expertise:
Vaccinations: They offer a wide range of essential vaccinations for both dogs and cats, including core vaccines like Rabies and Distemper, as well as lifestyle-based vaccines such as Bordetella and Leptospirosis for dogs, and Feline Leukemia for cats. They provide both individual vaccines and discounted packages for puppies and kittens.
Microchipping: A crucial service for pet identification, Vetco provides microchipping to help ensure that lost pets can be reunited with their owners.
Pest & Parasite Prevention & Testing: The clinic offers essential testing for parasites like heartworm and internal parasites (via fecal testing). They also provide a variety of prescription products for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, which can be purchased through their online pharmacy.
Demos & Treatments: They offer diagnostic testing for common diseases and provide deworming treatments for intestinal parasites, all without the need for a full, costly vet exam.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic stands out in the Wisconsin veterinary landscape for a number of key features that make it a compelling choice for pet owners.
Exceptional Affordability: The primary highlight is their low-cost service. By specializing in preventative care, they eliminate the need for an exam fee, which can significantly reduce the cost of routine care. One customer noted that their vaccination fees were "very affordable," and the total cost was "half of the other Pet clinic."
Convenience and Accessibility: The clinic's location inside Petco is a major convenience. Furthermore, their wheelchair-accessible facilities demonstrate a commitment to serving all members of the community. The new appointment system has also improved the overall flow and efficiency of visits.
Professional and Caring Staff: Despite being a high-volume, focused clinic, the staff is consistently praised for being professional, helpful, and caring. They take the time to answer questions and provide information, making pet owners feel heard and their concerns validated.
Focus on Preventative Care: Vetco’s specialization in vaccinations and parasite prevention makes them a go-to resource for these essential services. This focus ensures that they are experts in their field and can provide efficient, high-quality preventative care.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
This is a great service to get vaccinations when they're needed and not have to pay a vet visit fee. When they started requiring appointments, that made it better than it was before. Even with appointments the vet and the tech are very slow. Appointments should be 10 minutes apart not 5. Even with that said, the entire process from check in to checkout took 40 minutes for a 5 minute time slot.
July 21 · Daisy HillMy husband and I have always taken our beautiful girls, Lucy and Sandi to PetCo’s VetCo Clinic. We have never had an issue. Our questions or concerns are listened to, answered and handled accordingly or information is provided to us. Their vaccination fees are very affordable, too! We will continue to be a customer for as long as the option is available. If you haven’t tried it, you should.
